I think if he wanted to get the most carries early Vandy would fit his running style. He would probably have the most success there, but it wouldn't matter because Vandy is terrible.
I understand some of the hatred I guess for Vanderbilt, but honestly I am completely indifferent to them. Yes it sucked losing to them last year, but that was just not a very good team who was starting a true freshman in Dobbs who was missing our best weapon in North. However, I feel that a rivalry has to have some kind of historical precedent, and based on the record Vanderbilt is not a rival. The overall record is just a beatdown. They hate us, but we basically win every year. Who cares?
I look at Vanderbilt maybe in a little better light than someone like Northwestern, but I do not see them as a rival.
"If Love wants in, it's really hard to see the Vols turning him away and something I don't think will happen if he wanted in. I don't know where that leaves Reid IF THAT SITUATION EVEN OCCURS. It will be interesting for sure."- P Fortenberry
Let's stop pretending like this is just fan speculation.
Fort wouldn't say something like that if he hadn't had inside info suggesting that Reid's spot in this class is not concrete.
I feel like too many are emotionally attached to specific players (in a lot of threads).
I for one am emotionally attached to the Tennessee Volunteers. I want the "program" to succeed.
If Rocky Reid is a Vol, and helps us win, I'll be happy.
If another tailback comes to Knoxville, and helps us win, I'll be happy.
Either way, I trust that we'll bring in the best class we possibly can.
I would encourage all to neither celebrate, nor denigrate, a change in commitment for the current class.
Why is it not concrete? Rocky's film is sick. We do not need another scat back, which I get the impression that Bryce Love is.
