I think we can all agree that Bray had more talent than Casey. Bray possibly had the best arm of anyone in his draft class. He could hit a 12 yard deep out just as easily as a 20 yard deep post with the Safety right there. I wish I could have seen Chaney and Bray QB meetings/prep.

However, I think Casey applied himself to the game way more than Bray did. The culture of UT football was insanely different (better) than when Bray was here. Casey had something to play for. He had aspirations of playing in the SEC championship game and a BCS bowl. I don't think Tyler ever felt that.

Now this is fair. Completely different culture with a winner for a coach. It can vastly affect ur attitude.

You mean like Chaney calling a pass play with 2 timeouts, 1 min on the clock after Marlin picked up 15 yards, then Tiny getting beat by Clowney for a strip sack. And not only calling a pass play but calling a long developing pass play with no chip block on the one player that can hurt you.

Or do you mean like Dooley taking his offense off the field with 40 seconds left against a Missouri team that had just came back from 21 pts down

You do know that all Bray knew was chucking it deep.. Rarely checked it down(as Gruden called him out on) and was going deep to CP, Hunter no matter what the defense game him.. Those "long developing passes" passes were always fly patterns to one of them.. Nothing too complex, and likely checks he made.. I'm not a Chaney defender, but Bray gets some of the blame IMO

Because he had to keep up with so many teams scoring 50. He always had to go for a TD. If he didn't get a TD, he lost. Tyler on Casey's team would of won the title.

Bray would of took his coaching. The only reason he was out of control is because Dooley never hampered on it. He let it fly. Cutcliffe would of not let any of it happen. Bray would of took Cut seriously as well.

Yes normally that involves the QB moving after pre snap read and signalling something. I dont recall Bray doing that on that play.

It wasn't just Bray that felt that way about Dooley. How many recruits did we miss on? How many guys left the team? Janzen, Bryce Brown, and the the Darick situation in the UK game.


Its not hard to connect the dots. I find it hard to believe Dooley wasn't the root cause for 95% of it.
