I think it would be a mistake to move him to safety.... It may be good for a short term fix, but I think it could potentially have a negative long term effect in recruiting for the mid state....

Coaches committed to give him an honest shot at QB and to help him grow in the QB position... That was one of the big selling point with him....

If they do that then he will never play at Tennessee

Jennings, the state tournament MVP, led Blackman (28-6) to its first Class AAA title in basketball. It was the first boys basketball championship for a Rutherford County team since Central won in 1965. He averaged 12.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a guard/forward.

"With his size and strength and his feel for the game, I think he's a top 200 player," Blaze basketball coach Barry Wortman said. "I hear that from college coaches who came into practice and watched him play."

Pretty incredible. I really hope he has a good work ethic for all the potential he has.

I liked the idea of him playing centerfield with those long strides, a real eraser on the backend.

He's already 6'4" 202 as a Freshman though. WR might be where he's best suited.

We knew he was a project when we took him. He'll get at least the rest of this year and spring camp to show what he's got unless he decides to switch himself.

I would like to see us use him in a wildcat role. Hurd is great in wildcat but he doesn't give any threat to pass. Jauan could work on mastering 5-10 plays and learn the rest of the play book as he goes.

He just looked so far behind in the passing game to me when you compare him to Dormady. I haven't seen Jones but several national guys swear by him. That's two really tough guys to beat out. Then JG is coming in with a tool set that is better than all 3 guys. Then you consider we may land the #1 QB in both the 2017 and 2018 classes that are very polished for such a young age. I just think he would be wasting valuable practice time trying to prove he is a QB when he could really step up and make an immediate impact at WR. he reminds me of Malone physically and athletically but with that tougher mindset that Z is trying so hard to instill in Malone

I've wondered if the coaches would use JJ this season if Dobbs went down. Split QB system with him and QD. Pass more with QD, run more with JJ, but have enough of the opposite plays for both to keep defenses honest.

I think it could work if the unthinkable happens.
