'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

Been here like 3 years. That's the first Mary Poppins reference I've seen.

Softening you up for Brokeback Mountain quotes. :wink2:

Per Hubbs

As for Jauan Jennings, no less than six different people within the football department this week told us "he's clearly made the right move." Jennings' natural ability obviously gives him the first chance to be successful at wideout; his competitiveness and determination are the other factors that have most impressed people on campus. As one noted, he's very willing to put in the work and takes coaching well. His physical strength and aggressiveness were on display in the circle of life drill Thursday.

This kid is going to be fantastic. Kudos to him for recognizing the situation for what it was very early in his career. That takes a lot of maturity.

Very well said. I was just raving about the same thing the other day. A kid with his mentality and amazing athletic abilities can go a long, long way. Having the maturity at such a young age to make a decision that's best for his team and himself is a rare thing. Bravo, young Mr. Jennings, bravo! :hi:

I have seen some say he won't see field much this year on this board since it's a new transition. I disagree. We want to rotate 8-10 WRs in an offense that wants to run 80-100 plays a game. He is too elite of a playmaker. They will find a way to get him the ball in every game whether it's pass, jet sweep or wildcat. He has already made such an impact in 3 days that in a month there is no telling where he will be.

Jauan will be a force at the WR position. Kid is very athletic, aggressive and physical. He'll be able to get off press coverage with his physical ability and tenacity. Can't wait to watch him develop this season.

yes, he offered as QB. I imagine that schools will offer him as a QB just to stay in the race for him. He is a big time athlete and will need some polish to play QB at a big time school, but the sky is the limit for him. He is electric with the ball in his hands. Not many 6'3 guys are as shifty and fast as he is.

:whistling:

Sounds more and more like Jennings is an athletic freak. Hunter with more toughness.

I felt Hunter was pretty much fearless his Freshmen year. He ran routes hard and attacked the ball, but the knee really changed him. I can't say I blame him for playing cautious a year when millions of dollars were on the line...

Hunter was one of the most athletic kids to ever play football at UT.

Difference in being an athlete and a playmaker though.
