'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

Coming off an ACL. Plus I don't really think he has the speed to be a good receiver at all times. He's a great situtational player like you said, our best receiver in the red zone because of his size and physicality. However, I don't see him being better than any of the 7 guys I listed outside of those special situations in which his size makes a difference.

Red Zone seems like a pretty important part of the field to me. That is the 20 yds of field that makes or breaks most games.

I don't know that he is any better than the other 7, but he sure as hell doesn't not make the list. JMO of course.

Dislocated knee cap right? Almost worse than an ACL if you ask me.

Worse pain, IMO. I've dislocated both of my knee caps (twice left, once right), and I've torn my right ACL. Never felt a pain worse than my kneecap popping out and staying out. ACL is a much longer rehab. If it was Croom's kneecap, he might've just torn part of his meniscus. That should only take a couple months recovery time.

Dude, you need to buy a bubble.

Haha, it was just a lot of high school sports. I was a super skinny dude that never lifted weights, and I didn't have enough muscle around the knees to prevent those injuries. Still skinny now, but not AS skinny.

I've always tended toward the skinny side myself. Went the Track and CC route. Was blessed at the sport that's punishment for all others!

Croom was burning rubber on the screen he took to the house against Kentucky. Man, I wanted that to be where he started to take off and carry into this year. Unfortunately, he got hurt again. Good thing is all it takes is one big play like that to boost a kids confidence, and if he can stay healthy he has plenty of potential. The crazy part is that if he were to just have an average career the rest of the time he is here and stay somewhat injury free, he would probably still get a look by some teams in NFL (free agency) based on his size alone. You just cant teach a 6'6 guy that weighs 240 to run a sub 4.7 40.

I cant wait for football to start so we can just whoop some a$$!

Light bulb needs to come on this year..

Hoping to see JJ step up and carve a niche on offense this year. There's a lot of potential for big plays and trickeration if he can show the consistency needed to crack the rotation.

It wasn't an ACL or dislocated knee cap.

This. His leg was amputated by a train while he was trying to save a little kid on the freeway. Coach Jones was able to grow him a new leg in his basement with a mixture of miracle gro potting soil and a special cross bred seed mixture of a cucumber and a rare South American turnip. He should be 110% by now.

Then what was it? It's like everyone is trying to keep this a secret ha

Edit: every article I can find said it was his patella.

I will not reveal the exact nature of the injury, out of respect for those who told me what it was. Since the exact injury hasn't been reported, then privacy wins in this case. Maybe the coaches don't want the info out there. I will say he's healthy and ready to go. The "missed practices" are all pre-cautionary, as they are for a lot of the players that are banged up a little. We are not paying full attention to what Butch has said in his pressers. He told us that they were going to shuffle the OL the next few practices...everyone freaks out about the possibilities. He told us that he and the coaches have changed their approach from last year's camp, and would be a lot more precautionary with minor injuries, yet everyone is freaking out about multiple players not being seen at practice. IMO, they are trying to have this team fully healthy come Sept 5.

MZTerry pumped about the upcoming season with both Jason and Alvin in Orange? I'm one (maybe of a few) that miss her on the board. Spice of life, lol!

I would venture to guess that she is just like the rest of us… After all, she is a Vol fan through and through. Maybe at some point she will pop in and say hey.
