'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

Liked for excellence.

Dilfer is good at breaking down football plays, horrible at talent evaluation.

On another note, in talking to a few former NFL players, the term for hitting a receiver with a pass, in the back of the head, is a "Dilfer."

Barton Simmons on Jennings ratings QB v S v ATH:

If we were ranking him purely as a safety, he'd be about where he is now. Granted, if we saw him at camps competing at safety he'd have a lot of opportunity to move up.

Purely as a QB, he'd probably be in the 87 range. Similar rating to a guy like Demry Croft who is committed to Minnesota.

And Gibson is a 5 star QB while working mostly at WR at camps?? SMH

Simmons did say as just a QB Gibson would be around an "89" which would make him a 3*(well behind Dormady) and right in that area where fans would be saying drop him for a "higher rated guy" if he were committed.

...Well played.

Kid's got a good arm on him. And to be honest, he's about as dangerous running the ball as Gibson is. There's a reason why he's the state's No.1 HS player this year.

He's not as dangerous running the ball. Gibson's speed is ridiculous..... Not a slight at Jennings but Gibson is off the charts athletically.

"his progress at qb has came from his desire to be the best," childs said. "his mechanics, footwork, and timing has improved tremendously because the game has slowed down for him because he has studied the position and watched his mistakes on film."

other programs have taken notice. Most recently, jennings has added offers from louisville and cincinnati with both offering as a quarterback.
