'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

Bruce retweeted it. Not sure why he would, unless he just doesn't read what he retweets. Reason I posted it is cause there still seems to be smoke to the rumor.

It's getting interesting on the hill that's for sure. It's like a men's version of a soap opera. I love it. Is it football season yet?

I am friends with Brandon. He is just a typical college student with his opinions. No facts to back them up. It does seem interesting though. We took Bruce and with the numbers crunch and some of the targets we are still in on it would appear he may have been a replacement for woods if he can't get in.

“They actually had me working a little bit at defensive back,” he told InsideTennessee. “The other camps I was working primarily offense.”

“I loved it,” he said. “I love coming to all of these camps … every time they throw a camp. It’s just fun to be here, participating in something with the college, knowing I’m going to be here next year.”

“I just wanted to move back in with my mom,” he said. “She wanted the best for me, and it (transfer) came across our minds and actually worked out for the best.”

“My goal is to put on more weight, of course,” he said, “and just fall in line with being a Tennessee Vol.”

Cue meltdown

I think the slot/CB idea was always a possibility. It does sound at least for now that the young man feels his scholarship is still good and with him taking the pics along side CBJ at the recent camps, maybe the staff feels the same way. Could be why Martin seems to be in a holding pattern. I figured if he were going to commit, he would have already done so. Maybe the (2) CBs for 2015 will be Ordway & Woods with Bruce as a possible slot/CB as well.

It seems like the coaches don't love the cb prospects this year and we also have Moseley, Berry, and Gaulden from last year. So they take Woods and Bruce as guys who could go either way to build team depth.

Makes sense when you consider that we didn't take Shelley's commitment earlier.

Bruce won't play CB IMO.. That's not where his strengths are.

I agree. A baller has to have the ball in his hands. I realize that being a baller is just a catch phrase, but things happen when Joc has the ball in his hands.
