'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

They have one of the Weakest Schedules in the country according to The Sports Animal!!!! It's easy to go Undefeated if you play all the cupcakes and are in the BIG10!!!

Yet if they had not been on probation, they would have played for a NT. Does not matter how you get there, as long as you have a shot at winning the title.

If our team was in the exact same position as OSU we would be defending our schedule vehemently, but objective reasoning is lacking on this board at times.

No doubt. The same ones saying OSU plays a weak schedule are at the front of the line screaming we should cancel the Oregon game.

Overreaction as usual. While it is tiring hearing about OSU, kids go to school or athletes play for teams that aren't their childhood favorite all of the time. I think location and the fact that our school has a buzz and appears on the upswing are huge factors.

OSU does play a weak schedule and Vol fans are not the only one saying it. It is what it is, they get away with it cause they are OSU.

Lv I like u as a poster but as a competitor I would like to know I played against and beat the best to win it all. Take an undefeated Osu or Nd do u not think they know that several teams in the Sec could be better than them.If they are honest in their hearts they know it.

I think it'd be hard to argue that OSU isn't on par talent wise with UF, LSU, A&M and ahead of teams like Ole Miss, USCe, and UT. They may not play the best opponents but talent wise they could stack up with nearly anyone in the SEC. Teams like UF and LSU could definitely go undefeated in OSU's position but OSU would do just a well in the SEC as they do in the B1G because they have just as much talent as anyone.

You do know that ND is 26-17 VS the SEC right? ND has either an even record or a winning record VS EVERY SEC team except for uga(0-1). ND is 4-4 VS our Vols.

How old are most of the wins and loses. Was it when ND got players from any catholic school they wanted .Iam just saying both could compete year in year out.I also dont think either would come close to dominating.Yeah for a playoff .

my point was meant to be OSU does not deserve to be a NC contender.

And I was pointing out the flaw in your logic. Just because a team plays another team close it doesn't mean squat if they still lose. The same way when Cody blocked those field goals in 2009 against us, Bama had a huge talent/coaching advantage over us and even though we played them close and only lost by two, we still lost, and they still went on to win a national championship.

what about the close games with Indiana and Michigan St also. Thats 2 more teams in which the squeeked past by 3 points or less. And another OT vs Wisconsin. i get your logic, but OSU played too many bad games. it wasnt just 1 game... it was several

Too make another SEC comparison the 2010 Auburn Tigers had 4 games (one overtime against Clemson) that were within 3 points or less, but they still won and continued to beat a very talented Oregon team in the national championship. The teams they nearly lost to were Kentucky, an eventual 6-7 Clemson, Alabama, and Mississippi State. Parallel that with Ohio State's close games with Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, and Michigan and you have a very similar schedule outcome.

Ok you're right. I give up. OSU should have played ND in the NC. I forgot how much love VN has for OSU

Edit: instead of teams like bama and oregon

Vonn Bell is laughing his ass off right now.

CBJ had all of 2 months to recruit Vonn Bell. Recruiting is mostly about relationships just like everything else in life- your financial advisor, your legal advisor, your trainer, whatever.

That is a totally different scenario. This kid is a 2015 recruit. I think if Vonn Bell were a 2014 recruit, he would be a Vol.

I was cheering for OSU to lose every game they played, and actually despise OSU athletics, but I'm also not ignorant enough to ignore the fact that they are a talented football team that did not lose a game this past year. To dismiss any team that plays in one of the major conferences just because it's not the SEC is a supremacist ideal that just adds on to the SEC circlejerk that fans have been buying into these past few years. Is the SEC the best conference in football? Yes. Our we as far ahead of everybody else as we claim to be? No.

Did I ever say anything about the SEC? Nope. But I do not believe OSU was one of the 2 best teams in the country last year.
