'15 TN ATH Jocquez Bruce (UT commit 6/17/14)

"I think he's a slot receiver, not a running back in college. He worked at rb, db, and wr at camp on Saturday and I think got the most work at receiver. He ran something like a 4.52 in the 40 three times in the later part of camp, and he ran 4.03 in the shuttle."

That puts to bed the speed question and he's quick as hell. That's a tremendous improvement over the 4.64 time he ran. That's over a full tenth and dropped his shuttle almost 2 tenths.

Nathan may be the better athlete, but Jocquez is the better football player.

I would disagree with that. I would say that Joc fits CBJ system better where Nathan fits GTs system better. I think they are both great players and Knoxvillians ought to be proud having both in their own back yard. They are going to meet in the playoffs. Should be a fun game.

I agree it is very debatable. I would think both kids play similar competition, and Nathan's stats are on another level. His camp #'s/Sparq #'s show he is the better athlete. Would Nathan have got an offer had he showed up to UT's camp? Who knows. On the field I think Cottrell looks to be the better football player. As a slot WR, Bruce may just fit into what CBJ and company are looking for. Hopefully he gets to actually commit and wear the Orange. Cottrell will do well at GT.

We'll never know if NC would have earned an offer had he attended the camp. My guess is that he would have based on his recent history. He also said in a radio interview last week, the day before he committed to GT, that he was open to playing the slot position. So it's not like he wasn't willing to play other positions etc. Something tells me that his recruitment may not be completely done with UT. It's a long time until signing day and things can change for both sides.

They met there last year and West smashed them. SD should have a better chance this year.

The slot position values quickness and toughness over raw speed. Also you must have great

Didn't play last year. Beat them in 2012.

West would have played them last year had SD beat Anderson County

Also AC, the funny thing is these kids have been playing against each other since they were 7 years old and most are pretty good friends.

Joc makes multiple moves on plays in his film that you never see the cotterell kid make one time. Joc makes people miss. Cotterell lovers are annoying. The dude is an option RB not a typical football player that most teams would have a spot for. I don't know how Joc will turn out but I'd take him over cottrell all day because he is versatile and has quick hips and agility. He can play corner or slot and cottrell would sit bench behind hurd. Scott Kamara and paulk

I always thought we should recruit Cottrell as a safety

Bruce is a slot IMO
