'15 TN ATH Jocquez Bruce (UT commit 6/17/14)

And that's a valid point. If a kid isn't going to see the field because of potential off the field incidents, I would rather we avoid them as well. And like I've stated in the past, I don't look at star ratings as much as I do offer lists and level of competition when the recruit played in high school. Even film can be deceiving, because who is going to have film of a guy dropping balls and missing tackles.

No doubt about dropped ball and tackles. And don't forget about the level talent (or lack there of) he's going up against.

Heck, this whole recruiting thing is a crap shoot lol. I too like to go by offer list.

Boom!!!

Fired up to see this!

Elite rated classes turn into champions when they have a player or two that will play/work with a chip on their shoulders. Something to prove and a REAL love of the orange is a must when considering a "dream team"(see the Heat/ spurs this year).

GBO!!!

Good Bye!

Joc showed out against competition at the UT camp that was 5x's better than he plays against during the season. So, obviously it doesn't matter what competition he plays against because he has showed out against every type.

If he's good enough for Butch, he's good enough for me.

A quick look at his film shows some speed and quick moves. He seemed to be aware of his surroundings. Returns, DB and/or an occasional surprise for a defense that hadn't marked him. Beefing him up and coaching him up might show some welcome results.

This is how I picture Bruin when he posts now. He just drops the post like a boss and gets out.

Not much of an offer list. With limited space this year and the number of highly touted guys we are in on, I hope this is a situation where the kid is flying under the radar and about to blow up. Never been a fan of too many hometown feel good stories. Still waiting for Cody Blanc and Josh Smith to contribute like everyone told me they would.

Smith did contribute last year but then he picked up a case of the drops. Now, here's the thing we weren't told: Smith was playing with a broken bone in his hand. There was a 247 article on it not long ago. I don't know if he knew and concealed it from coaches or if it was something he had checked out after the season. Blanc I don't have much hope for but Smith will be a contributor, imo, he's too good at getting open and when he does catch it, he makes big plays. He will definitely be in the rotation.

Question what position do you see this guy playing at UT? Hard to see him at RB do you all think he comes in and specializes at the nickle position?

Wow! First I have heard about Smith having a broken bone.

Congrats, Joc! Welcome to the best football family anywhere!
