You can get into classes the first couple of weeks after they start, so if he decided to go to LSU it would work out.

Do they have to go to class at LSU?

Tennessee starts a week earlier than LSU, so he would miss almost 2 weeks of school if he chooses TN after the OV. This whole situation is strange. Maybe neither of the coaching staffs want to take him as an EE? Who knows.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Phillips is an ee right? So I'm thinking we land Phillips two weeks later we get Ugo then tell him it's to late to early enroll. If lsu gets Phillips then I think we kind of slide out of the picture and pick up Martin and call it a day for db recruiting. Could be way off but it's been a long day and I need a drink.

I've entertained similar thoughts. Feels like our recruitment of Amadi is a move to get Phillips, jmo of course.

Not liking the vibes from this. If he was going to be a Vol, then why be so insistent on taking that OV to LSU and be a week behind in school? Doesn't make sense. I'm starting to think he and Phillips might end up at LSU, too.

Kind of getting that Vobe too but I'm trying to remember which insider had posted the other day that Amadi was 5 or 6 on their CB board. I wanna get Phillips but Martin is much more important than Amadi. And not saying we can't get both but if we could only get one I take Martin all day. He starts day one opposite of Cam and gives us two lockdown corners next season. Definitely want both but if someone said you can have Martin or Amadi and Philips combo I go with Martin. Phillips I'm sure would play some his share of snaps next season but still wouldn't be as much of an instant impact as Martin would be. Amadi I really could take or leave and hoping we get Phillips and Martin.

Your probably right. I mean I get it if your teammates and life long friends and want to play college ball together. I mean me and my best friend wanted to play college basketball together but he sucked so I went on with out him lol. Time to grow up a little and make a decision for yourself it's what being an adult is all about.

I am not really. I just want both to separate this allegiance from their potential futures. Great if it works out them playing together, but color me skeptical about it coming together.

Lol..oh yea sometimes you gotta do what's best for you. And the majority of the time package deals tend to not work out. We have had several..Creer and Moore, Moore ended up the better and he was the throw in. We didn't have Creer long and Nance and Roggers..Nance never was ever gonna play and he was headed to Vandy before they came to UT. Nance would have been much better off going to Vandy and we know how it went with Rogers. I'm sure there have been more but those were two of the more recent. It could work out better if both guys were both highly recruited and the Coach's actually wanted both guys and not just a throw in to get the better one. Both of these guys are wanted and obviously Phillips being the more sought after but Amadi would be more than just a through in. But our Coach's didn't really go hard the first time with him then it looks more like they are we willing to take him to get Phillips. Not sure we take him without Phillips unless they don't feel good about getting Martin.

Don't really think it's that it's more of how much does UT really want him if Phillips wasn't coming with him. I mean they could have gotten him earlier but didn't make him a priority and then hesaring he was at best 5 or 6 on the CB board just doesn't sound like he is a take without Phillips or if we can't get Martin. But think Martin will be a Vol, especially with the Coach's helping place him in juco and knowing he likely starts day one here and probably not at LSU but maybe he does I dunno.

The more I read about the Amadi situation the more I think he should have stayed committed to OM. They wanted him. This package deal stuff will not end up well for him if LSU doesn't really want and need him. Maybe he can help us, but don't whether we should take Martin or him.

Atleast right now Martin is on a different level at CB. We need the speed and instincts he as at corner and need that in '15. Amadi may be a great CB but there is just so much drama that comes with some of these recruits. Not saying he is like that but some like we have dealt with in the past worry more about attention and being catered to and told how awesome are over actually wanting to take their decision serios and change their mind once a month. That's why Preston Williams makes me nervous, with the whole Dr. Andrews thing, his comments on twitter about he wasn't gonna redshirt and may have to rethink things instead of talking to the Coach's first. I really hope we can hold onto to him but with Van possibly not going to Athens it wouldn't shock me a bit if he flipped to GA on signing day. I may be way off on him and hope I am because he will be a beast if his head is right.
