'15 TN DB Cameron Ordway

"The instate defensive back is still very much on the board for the Vols, but there are questions about where he lines up, is he a safety or a cornerback? Either way, Tennessee is running out in front right now and in a comfortable position, but Ole Miss and Auburn are in the hunt as well."

Want this kid. He's a ballhawk on defense.

I'd keep him at Corner. We're pretty well stacked at Safety.

Personally, I'm rather skeptical of Cam as a CB. I think he would shine at nickel, or be a good safety. Every video of him at CB, I see him trailing defenders. Not saying he can't do it, and I want him to be a Vol, just a little skeptical of his skillset at that position. Granted, I'm not a coach

I agree and was about to say it. I don't really see Ordway as a CB. I like Abernathy and the kid committed to Virginia Tech a lot better. I've never seen the elite athleticism on tape everyone else has. But I'm not a UT coach, so I'll roll with whatever they want.

He is just letting the antelope get a head start before pouncing

I'm not sure Ordway has the speed this staff is looking for at the corner position. Martin fits the bill better in that aspect, but hips and ability to change direction has a lot to do with that as well. For those in the know-How physical is Cam as a cornerback?

4.45 isn't slow. He's a physical presence in the backfield. I really like this kids game.

I like Ordway, but that doesn't change the fact that IMO Abernathy and Reynolds are better CB prospects.

I don't get this whole speed is the most important crap. I'm pretty sure Sherman isn't the worlds fastest Cb and As long as ur a 4.4 guy or fine speed wise

Joe Haden and Alterraun Verner are upper echelon CBs in the NFL. Haden ran a 4.57 and Verner ran a 4.52. It's not all about pure speed.

Butch was on record saying he wanted to recruit some larger more physical DBs this year to compliment the smaller faster ones we got last recruiting cycle. We need a good mix so we have enough variety to match up with different teams.

He announced he is committing in August, per his twitter. Austin Price is giving him a hard time for using the 'fist up' emoji. I'm taking it as a good sign since he is announcing soon.
