'15 TN DB Cameron Ordway

Ordway has said Tennessee leads. I think there is some academics that everyone is looking at, but I think with a plan he can make it. The bigger question schools have is can he play cornerback or is he a safety in college. That's what everyone is trying to figure out.

Callahan said Ordaway might not be a take. That they really aren't sure about him at cb and there are others higher on our board. It will be interesting to see if he will be a take. Also, he is visiting FSU for the first time this week.

I get an Ole Miss feeling here, especially with the news about possible academic concerns.

And isn't that interesting? 6 months ago, we would have been thrilled with Amadi and Ordway. But, now, this staff is recruiting at such a high level that it isn't a huge deal.

Makes sense. Seems to me that he would have committed by now had CBJ been pushing for his commitment.

I think he had always said he would be committing around the beginning of his HS season. With the news of grade issues, it does sound like less and less of a chance he fits what the UT coaches are looking for.

Thought I read today that half of the current commits have grade issues?

Half??? That seems pretty unrealistic. I seriously doubt they take commitments from that many kids early who have academic issues. The only benefit I can see from it is the ability to cut loose some questionable academic kids who also don't develop like you'd hipe on the field as well. But half of them...I don't know about that.

I thought someone said D. Matthews said a couple may have issues.

I don't get how kids can have major issues when there Senior year hasn't started.

Either way, I think Ordway would be a great CB prospect. I know he's tall, But he uses it to his advantage.

I personally like taller DB'S. They can be more physical with the wideouts. Jmo of course.

I'm not convinced on any cb this year. I think we get another cb prospect from nowhere, ala Moseley.

I like the taller DBS as well.

I'm not sure on that myself. I'd think if a kid was that far behind, he would not be considered a SR. If you're headed into your 4th year of HS and only have enough passing credits to be considered a SO, IMO you're not a SR.
