I just don't understand why LSU always has QB problems.
Some hits and quite a few misses, some bad evaluation, add in there bad luck and other....Crowton ruined about 4-5 years of LSU's offense and QB development.
Russell - Everyone knows the story, good-great college QB, not a good pro
Flynn - Good solid college QB, was in the program for 5 years
Perillioux - Kicked off team, had potential to be a great QB... the kid blew it
Lee - Wild ride, I think he had the talent but he played for Crowton... no development
Jefferson - Big windup in his throwing motion... limited football IQ... playing for Crowton... no development
Zack Lee - LSU put a lot of eggs in one basket and got burned, he signed a baseball contract
Mett - good college QB, progressed every game until the last game... ended up probably the best or close to last year
Jennings - poorly evaluated, should not be in the NCAA
Harris - has shown skills most guys don't have, to early to tell if it will work out
Poorly evaluated:
Stephen Rivers
Chris Garrett
Russell Shepard - ended up playing some WR
Jerrard Randall
Anthony Jennings
Grades
Jeremy Liggins - eventually signed with Ole Miss
To me the biggest hits to the QB position at LSU was Perillioux getting kicked off in 2008 and Zack Lee signing a baseball contract, Lee could have been a 5th year senior in 2014.
The only guy that I think could have been developed on their roster... was Jarrett Lee, he played for Crowton and Crowton has been fired 2-3 times since being canned at LSU.
