'15 TN DE Dylan Jackson (former UT commit)

He may have fixed it this semester. I talked to the person in the summer so he may have gotten everything back on track.

I'm still speculative on the situation now. If Younger is hearing stuff, there may be something to it all since he is pretty connected with TN recruits.

In terms of performance, I thought that news would not have made sense. By most accounts, his on-field production has turned people around who were initially questioning the staff taking his commitment.

Good luck to the kid. Came down to he wanted no part of playing OL IMO. Can't blame him at all. If LSU likes him at DE, obviously he can be a DE in the SEC. If his heart is set on playing defense, IMO that is what he needs to do.

A lot of this "chatter" tells me that the coaches feel really good about some much higher profile recruits on their board. Like 5 or 6 guys on their board.

It hurts when Tennessee can't get the players in their own backyard.

Hasn't it been speculated for a while that the Coach's had cooled on him and looking to upgrade. Been going around for months that he would prob end up at LSU. I'm betting if UT wanted him he would still be committed. LSU is a great option and hope he does well. But also we haven't had much luck with players from Maryville for as long as I can remember.I have adopted LSzu as kind of a second team and a team to pull for to beat Ala, Aub and win the west. So definitely much worse options for him.

He doesn't know more than Chavis. And there is a way to state your case without being a snarky douchebag. He doesn't know how to do that, though.

Thin skin, he gets paid for his opinion. You have the option to follow or not follow him, or go into journalism.

Actually, counting Kirkland, we could see as many as 8 new commits by signing day.

Hate to bring everyone into reality but LSU is a better offer than UT.

Let's break this down. Why exactly do you feel LSU is a better offer?

Is it because a full scholarship to LSU is worth more? Is it because LSU has put more guys in the NFL. Is it because, historically, LSU is the third best team in the division of the SEC in which they play? Does their athletic department have more in the way of resources? Do they play on television more? Is their coaching situation stable? Is Jackson a shoe-in for early playing time because of a lack of talent at his position? Is it because every little boy from east Tennessee dreams of playing big time football on the bayou?

No? The what the eff makes it a better offer? Does DJ love corn dogs and big felines?

Give me a break.

Nah I wouldn't go that far, especially for a kid 20 mins from Knoxville. Based off this yrs results its pretty much even. Yes Chavis is a great DC and playing Defense at LSU is great for the NFL resume. Two yrs ago yea LSU would have been a much, much better offer. Unless LSU finds a QB they won't be able to get back on top of the conference. If it was up to me TN and LSU would play in the SEC championship game every yr. They are the one team from the sec west I can pull for. But right now TN is just as good of an offer as LSU.

Tiger Droppings are recruiting Leb to their boards to be a poster that is correct. He should take it.

I'd have to pass. I may read a lot of different schools boards for varying opinions on recruits and recruiting in general. As far as posting goes, I focus my efforts on my Vols.
