No way this guy follows his brother to freaking Vanderbilt with the kind of offers he has, right?? His brother didn't really have much in the way of offers, where Josh looks like a definite national recruit.

Thinks Mason is a great hire by Vandy. Said he will probably commit to Vandy soon. That is, unless Tennessee has room to take his brother, then he will be a VFL.

It's a 2 minute video interview by John Brice when he was in Nashville last weekend. Nothing big. Josh talked about the UA combine and working out with the IFM crew, getting better, working hard, etc. Said he's up to 10 offers now, PSU offered the other day, he's hearing from a lot of schools, Thig is his main recruiter, he really likes Thig as a coach and a person, said he "gets me excited about Football". He's not sure about any junior days but he's going to a Rivals event in AL in March.

If he could blueshirt I would want him. We can only presumably get what 22 or so next year? That gives us a blueshirt or two to work with... JMO

blueshirts wont work for a kid out of nashville whos being recruited by alabama. that means we can have no contact from him all year, no visits, no calls, no in homes. its not possible. this kid will be one of the most heavily recruited kids in state 2015

22 is a long way away. Looking at the SRs leaving after this year and the GS/BS's for this class, the number is closer to 13 as of now. To get to 22, obviously 9 current Vols would have to be cycled out by this time next year.

Afterwards, Butch Jones hopped on a plane and headed back to Tennessee and to Murfreesboro. He saw Jack Jones and Josh Smith at Oakland High School and also went by Blackman High School to check in on Jauan Jennings as the Vols battle with other schools for him. - Rivals

Buck Fitzgerald just said on VQ that he doesn't think Josh follows his brother to Vandy. He said there is strong mutual interest with Josh and UT. And with Bama and Auburn recently offering, and many other offers still rolling in he doesn't think he goes to Vandy. He said his parents have instructed him to make his own decision independent of his brother.

I think this kid ends up in Knoxville after reading that. I always though if it wasn't Vandy it would be UT and now I really like our chances.

Why, uh, wouldn't he, uh uh, want to play for, uh, Coach Mason?
