There were a lot of BS talk last year and trying to figure out who may or may not be a possibility. Closer to NSD everyone took their visits to UT. I would expect that to play out again this year.

Agree 100%.

If you want the best of the best on special teams, you have to be willing to pay the price. 1 of 85 scholarships seems like a very good investment to me.

I can see a few more that may be special on special teams. Oliver may make his living making big plays in the kicking game.

Make fun of him now, but his skills will be important and utilized for four years. Fans will completely under appreciate what he will doing a routine basis, but the kickers, the holders, and the coaches will love him.

Many people don't realize the importance of having an excellent snapper for points, FG's, and punts until their team fails to score a few times or has the ball bounce past the punter or over sail his head and the opponent gets a score out of it. Snapping the ball to an exact spot is not as easy as one would think, just like throwing a pass across the field 30 yards to a moving target is not that easy. I'm happy we've got Riley, to heck with the stars.

Wasn't it mentioned today that J Williams and someone else were working at long snapper now? Cant help but to think this is a well used scholly after reading that. Especially with the importance CBJ seems to put on special teams.

I'm not entirely certain but I think that is the exact definition of a legacy. :loco:

Sorry for the smartass comment. It's kinda my job around here. He did have a relative that play for the VOLS but I can't remeber off the top of my head who it was.
