To. Me this is the only consideration I need. Of course these are still teenage kids were dealing with and they obviously can be misleading or simply change their minds but...He absolutely had to give CBJ very solid indication he'd be signing with Tennessee for us to basically turn our backs on Allen when it appeared all but certain that Allen would choose us.

After reading what 247 and VQ have posted, IMO It seems like Richmond committed to the staff during the visit but they're still skeptical because he's a Memphis recruit that's been with Ole Miss for quite a while now.

If the mom and uncle are truly on board with UT now, Richmond will be a Vol I think.

I understand that these guys at the pay sites haveto make a liv ing but it is absolutely crazy to pay money so some old guy sitting at a computer can tell you what the kid will do on signing day. Imo the message boards are more reliable. Of course you end up with certain posts you have to filter through but you get younger kids (friends and peers of the prospect) coming on boards like this one and posting. In the world of social media what the prospect and the other recruits are saying on social media is going to be more accurate than these pay sites. Jmo

Very possible that Allen started favoring UGA once Bajakian left. Remember that Allen started considering UT over UGA in the first place when Mike Bobo left. Given this, it seems obvious that his relationship with the offensive coaches is key. I doubt we 'turned our backs on Allen.'

No inside source, but I think after this weekend where he was treated like a rockstar, he left all-Vol and he had decided to flip. Once he gets home and starts thinking and being around family, especially knowing his Mom would like him to stay closer to home, the shine starts to fad off from the weekend and he sticks with Ole Miss. That's what my gut is telling me.

Allen backed off of UGA because the line coach left with Bobo. Had nothing to do with Bobo himself. Said Bajakian leaving would not affect his decision because Bajakian would not have been his position coach.

Allen decommiting from UGA was about Will Friend, the OL coach leaving with Bobo. Coach Jake leaving has little to do with anything, IMO. I think you hit it spot on with the bolded part. However, we may have let him go...

Everybody's gut seems to be a total downer. My gut thinks Richmond is a Vol, but he also thought Marshawn would get the carry from the one yard line, so what the hell does he know? He's just a stupid gut, lacking any prescience that I am aware of.

I was referring to his social media game in the last week or so. Deleted many references to OM from his Twitter account, started retweeting Vol stuff, and now the profile pic change....all outward signs that he favors the Vols. He knows fans keep track of that stuff. If he sticks with OM after deliberately doing all these things, it qualifies for Epic Troll Job of the year in my book.
