This doesn't jive with all the hand wringing that we have scheduled in here. We'll see if we can sqeeze in some positivity but we are already over booked with hand wringing, head drooping, and nay saying. You're first on the list in case of a cancellation though. :good!:

Everybody's gut seems to be a total downer. My gut thinks Richmond is a Vol, but he also thought Marshawn would get the carry from the one yard line, so what the hell does he know? He's just a stupid gut, lacking any prescience that I am aware of.

I am pretty sure that the coaches are not supposed to leak any information. If that was the coach's personal opinion, it might be ok. But if he was speaking about an actual commitment, he could get in trouble. If he was telling you something in confidence, I doubt that he wanted to see it on Volnation.

Drew has said the whole time Feb 5th. IF he ends up flipping, it isn't happening till he faxes in the LOI.

He doesn't want any extra grief he doesn't need. No chance he would come out and say anything other that he is still committed to Ole Miss.

That does nothing to me. It all depends on what Hugh and Butch can do on the phones the next 48 hours.

Why would Richmond comment to Tennessee now? He can sign with Tennessee Wednesday and not have Ole Piss bugging him every minute until signing day.

We are a couple of days away and I just wanted you guys to know it's about that time. Time for the rumors...the crazy talk and the "I have a buddy who's cousin's dog talked to so and so." The next 36-48 will be a wild ride. We will be killing it to chase every rumor out there to either verify or squash like we always do. Nothing like calling James Berry and asking him if Eric is at Alabama and getting, "Nope, he's across from me watching TV." I know it's very difficult, but no matter what DR or others do, what this staff has done is nothing short of remarkable. Nothing has changed this morning to make our stance on DR change. It's a long wait till signing day in regards of very little info to report, but Tennessee has the momentum coming out of this weekend. Let's see if that will hold.

I can't blame this staff for going all out on this kid, but I want to know without doubt that our staff didn't want Allen. If Allen told our staff don't bother, then it explains why we went all out on Richmond. If Richmond plays us, again, and we chose to not pursue Allen, I think that'll end up being a huge mistake. It also eliminates any excuses you can make for this staff come 2016. If our OTs don't pan out, like Blair, and we struggle because of it, this situation will be a huge reason why. I think we will be fine, but I also think we could use some solid OT depth aka Allen, Richmond, etc...

Why, because they weren't psychic? At some point, you have to go with your intuition and experience, and then hope for the best.
