Man, some of you all are pretty dogmatic.

You can't say "well, this one recruit flipped and when he did he told the coaches. Therefore, Drew didn't flip". Every recruit handles things differently. Some want to announce it to everybody as soon as they decide. Some want to wait for the big announcement. Others want to sleep on things and make sure they made the right decision. And still others are persuaded by coaches to hold off on announcing, even though they are solid.

And you can't say "this other recruit flipped, and when he flipped he didn't say anything. Since Drew is being quiet, he is definitely already a silent". Again...some recruits might do this. But others are silent because they really don't know. It isn't an exact science.

We can't simply look at a handful of examples and determine what Drew is doing. If it were this easy, or if we were this good at it, we could make a lot of money with our armchair prognostication.

But, we can look at the evidence and see what makes the most sense. And I think the most plausible explanation is that Drew is signing with us on Wednesday. Evidence: a) he came the weekend before signing day, stayed the entire weekend, and brought his family; b) he allegedly ignored Freeze's direct request to skip the trip; c) his reception was phenomenal, and the team and fans did everything possible to secure his commitment; d) he did not reaffirm his commitment to Ole Miss after leaving; e) he deleted Ole Miss tweets while here, and proceeded to retweet a ton of pictures of him during his visit, and other Vol-friendly stuff.

Didn't you just do what you said we can't do? Lol

Forgive me, as I didn't visit the recruiting forum when it happened (I was younger, didn't understand it as well, etc.), but does this recruitment have any similarities to the Nu'keese Richardson recruitment? IIRC, didn't Nu'keese flip from Florida on NSD?

I think it comes down to as long as butch can assure him that his family will be able to have the resources to attend all home games then he will commit to Tennessee

I'm sure Richmond has already decided on where he is going.
The only one's that probably know, are his parents, coach Jones and coach Freeze.
Might be a few more close friends and future team mates that may know......
We will just have to wait till Wednesday.....:hi:

No because I said that you shouldn't do two things: 1) make an argument off of a sample size of one recruit, and say that whatever happened there will happen with Drew, and 2) make absolute or conclusive claims about what someone will decide to do on signing day.

All I did was say that other evidence "suggests" that the most likely thing seems to be him committing here.

I think the overriding factor in his recruitment is the negative momentum with Ole Miss' current class. UT continues to sizzle and Ole Miss is almost the exact polar opposite. It would be very surprising to me if this isn't taken heavily into account over the next few days by Richmond and his family.

The decommitments of the other highly rated Ole Miss recruits speaks volumes.

A buddy of mine just texted me and told me that Richmond told Mike Farrell that he is still committed to OM. Who is Mike Farrell, some sports reporter?

Best thing to do is to keep watching VQ and see if Hubbs or Fort say anything about us losing/Ole Miss gaining momentum between now and Wednesday.

Butch is in contact with DR and won't let it come down to him possibly sending a surprise LOI to Oxford and taking the wind out of the sails of an otherwise awesome NSD.

Pretty much words of a wise old sage here.

Beautifully said.
