He did just put a top 4 recently. I think within the last 2-3 days and UT win it. Now that could mean he is just keeping the school out east in it, or UT has been recruiting him. Can't imagine a kid would leave a school in it if they are not recruiting him this late in the process.

Tells me we could get him at the 11th hour and the coaches know it. JMO.

Those are the situations where I don't get upset if UT gets burned.

Reid is taking visits so the coaches look to fill that spot. No problem there for me. They are considering Love, Bussey, Vaughn, Weber, and maybe others.

Love picks Stanford. Bussey picks A&M as he was being slow played. Weber goes to USC. Reid signs with UGA. In the 11th hour CBJ tells Vaughn they would like him to be a Vol. Vaughn picks Vandy.

Vol fans then go nuts because all these guys did not line up to be Vols, even the ones being slow played so long.

Keeps recruiting interesting.

He said in a 247 interview a week or so ago that we weren't talking to him as much

I see this scenario playing out.

Love picks UT (closer to home and experts indicate we have edge).

Bussey picks A&M.

Reid flips to UGA.

Weber goes to Bama (puke)

Kelly goes to Michigan St.

Vaughn goes to a Big 10 school unless we have a spot available near NSD and use it on a best available, but I lean towards Abernathy (the transfer) being our 3rd rb.

Is Vaugh still considered an OSU lean? Haven't heard much on him other than we haven't been recruiting him very much.

I'm not overlooking him. I've always seen him as a very reasonable option as a situational RB. I honestly see no difference in Perry and Love. Perry may even be a better pass catcher out of the backfield. Because we have Perry and Bruce, that is why IF the staff decides to replace Reid I hope it's with a bigger RB like Vaughn. Bussey would have been fine but IMO it's going to be too late for him.

I believe Perry will be used in a Pig Howard type role. I doubt you'll see him lined up in the backfield too often but he could be hell on wheels with the jet sweep.

Nope.

Top 4: Purdue, Ohio State, UNC, Louisville.

Interviewed today. Will announce on signing day. UT not an option for him as of right now.

I see his recruitment playing out like Jashon Robertson's or Mike Sawyers's. I feel like something will happen and we'll end up with him at the last second.

While I wish it were possible, at this point I don't think UT has paid him enough attention to land him. I think he just decides to play somewhere that has been focused on him for a while.

I seem to remember him putting out his top 3 and said something like (for now)
If UT pushed I think they could land him.
