Life is good in god's country.City has it's own high school now so L.C. I'd only county boys now. Been down a few years but got a two year window we should be back to old form. New OC search right now hope that goes well the last one was garbage.

Gotcha. I heard about City's high school. I guess that hurts the talent pool a little.

More than a little. I watched both Lincoln Co and Fayetteville City play this year. If you merge those teams together, Lincoln probably would have won the District.

I talked to Kelly Holcomb recently and asked him about it and you could just hear the anger in his voice.

Oh yeah it hurt. We have a Jr. Qb and rb who are going to lead us this year. That's why I said we have a two year window to get back where we used to be.

Lincoln County is as sucky as ever. We got a Bennigans though and people are all over that ****.

The football team is as mediocre as ever too. Our guys just never seem as big as the other guys. And the new City high has made things even worse. We moved down a division though, so guess that helps.

It is a fair assessment that Butch feels that the tight ends that he is currently recruiting have a better or different skill set than what Harris possesses.

We already have two top TEs in this past signing class and they are on campus now. Just because Harris has is from Tennessee and has been offered from some other schools does not mean that Butch has to offer him.

You have to trust the coaches evaluations and who they are recruiting. They have there reasons.

There is no denying his talent. The coaches know who this kid is, obviously. I'd venture to guess that it has to do with the coaches wanting a TE that is a better product for their system more than anything. J. Harris simply may not fit that mold.

We have a recruiting profile with many factors considered... Could be any one of them. Maturity, character, competitive spirit is one butch talks about alot. A player overly concerned with depth charts for instance, could be a turn off for butch... Kinda things we'd never hear about

I agree with everything you said. The weird thing is that if you ask anyone from Columbia that knows Jackson or the Harris family they'll tell you has all of those qualities you just posted.

I've thought about him not fitting the mold, but isn't Ethan Wolf just about the same size and weight as Harris?
