Wow this is the biggest problem in recruiting sometimes. The parents try to control their kids and make them go where they think is the best. Anyway wish him luck at the safety of the grove in Mississippi or at UGA with all the criminals

I'll end with this. I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out like an Alvin Kamara incident. We are in it now but he goes JUCO and then we scoop him up later on.

Just so you know, it was posted by de1 or another insider that Van himself said he wouldnt NEED a visit to UT if his Moms would change her mind, hes IN. His moms should, if she is the type ive been reading, be refreshed by some honesty from a Coach that is posed to b selling and pumping them up, IMO. Sounds like thats a bit of pride, messing w her @$$

I am tired about hearing about Van's mother. I would rather hear that any of our coaches that offended her have apologized.

Technically, I believe that only the signature of one parent is absolutely required for a National Letter of Intent. If I were Van and had a father who was not only an NFL coach, but one at my position, I would place a heck of a lot more credence in his opinion and wishes in this matter than dear old mom’s. Having said that, motherhood is a sacred institution and sacrifices must sometimes be made for the sake of domestic tranquility. All of the damage control in the world probably will not bear fruit in terms of Van’s coming to Tennessee until and unless a formal apology is made by Coach Thigpen or whoever is responsible for this diplomatic blunder.

Thig wouldn't even be his position coach. He would be with Z, Butch and Jake most of his time and rarely with Thig. That sucks that she holds that grudge when Z is the guy she should be thinking about the most in terms of character
