I want to say they are both from Brentwood, but Barnett* attended Brentwood Academy and Van attends Ravenwood. I could be wrong, though, but point is I'm not sure how much a phone call from a random Brentwood local would help the situation.

Now a call to momma from big Charles Mosley on the other hand...

I was trying to think of what to say and you took the words out of my mouth. She may have every right to steer him away from us. Thig may have been waaaay out of line. We don't know what was said.

This thread won't die. I'll believe any activity between Van and UT when I see it. I feel like we've heard that he wants to come to UT 100 times but he never visits. Not happening.

Jefferson took a really hard look at Tennessee earlier in the recruiting process, but it has been clear over the past couple months that the Vols really weren't a serious contender for him as he got closer to making his decision. I think during the summer he was pretty serious about UT, though, and it was obvious at the time that Tennessee was one of his top two choices — and perhaps even his favorite at one time.
