A visit and BS can only last so long. Relationships withstand in the long run. It's how we pulled Malone when everyone said FSU or UGA had momentum after visits. Malone sealed Sawyers deal. He will seal this one too by the time announcement.

That is really interesting about the WR coach and dumb IMO. How do you try to hide a WR coach from the dad who is a NFL WR coach. IMO all the warm and fuzzy momentum of OSU is from the mouth of the intern that was his HS WR coach who is just a young dude trying to make sure he isn't fired in a few wks when Van chooses TN

Exactly true Van loves UT and its like 85-15% UT. The kid is just being a kid and trying to confirm his decision. He loves Butch, Azzani, Josh and the whole UT aura. For the people who like jokes CUM told Van henhas put all his X wrs in the NFL and Coach Jefferson and Van asked him who are they. Van really wants to be a part of as he says WRU. Ppl just be patient it will happen. Our barber told him the only relevant players CUM put in the league were Harvin, Hernandez, Cooper, and Tebow on offense. Then stated to Van even in down years started with Meacham, D. Moore, Hunter, Bray, Foster, Rivera, Witten, Stallworth, etc from Fla/ tOSU can't compare. Van said wow even in down years.

Former vol list is incomplete, he forgot CP. But besides that awesome post!

Ron, hook us up with what Buck said on VQ about Van after the OSU visit.

This

And this

tOSU does not lead. They hired the wr coach from Ravenwood as I have said before. But by no means do they lead. Van is pretty much sold on UT and being a part of WRU. His relationship with CBJ, CZA, Josh Malone, etc are all key elements.

Not trying to knock this kid after only seeing him play against Blackman last year but he seemed to have trouble fighting off his man at the LOS for the majority of the game. For those in the know, was this a consistent problem last year or just an isolated game I am more than likely reading to much into?

I was at the Independence vs Ravenwood and Wharton completely shut him down, held him to just 2 catches for 13yds. He had one catch on Gaulden for a TD then Wharton took over. They even went deep to Jefferson and Wharton picked it off, it's on his highlight film at 8:04

I seem to recall some criticism of Josh Malone from some posters who had seen him, before his senior season.

I'd relax and let him show his senior year development. We know he is not lacking coaching

I personally think Wharton would be an outstanding CB in college.

Thanks. Was it July 26th? I cant remember the exact date that was mentioned. Isn't he on a UGA visit this weekend though?

It is July 26th and he was suppose to visit UGA this weekend but with the commitment scheduled for that Saturday one would have to wonder if he will still visit

Agree. That is what has had me confused as well. Strange a kid would announce while he's on a visit (unless he picks that school).
