'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

This. Which is stupid on his part, because it still makes no sense a kid would commit to a school at the beginning of the week and at the end of it take a visit to one of his other finalists. Like I said weird recruitment.

Why not visit anywhere you can until you sign. So much can change so quickly during the season. I don't see a problem with players visiting other places

Or maybe he knows that these visits are his last few chances to hang out with the good guys before joining the dark side :)..

I agree. Take all the expense paid official visits you can. In this case, he is driving 3 hours to see our skinny and frail team battle Utah State. He could drive just a couple more hours and see your NFL like team play Clemson. Strange.

I never said anything about any of that. I just said it is strange, especially with the timing of his commitment. I would think he'd be at UGA for the Clemson game. I'm not saying he's going to flip or anything. It just adds more oddity to a weird recruitment.

Is he taking and OV here this weekend, or is he coming on his own dime? If it is the latter, then that speaks volumes.

It's a manageable drive. I don't think it much matters if its UOV. Maybe his dad got tickets... no school on Monday... 17/18 year old kid gets to experience Neyland...

But yea, why does VQ have the 411 on it?

Are they really that close though? Van has been in Nashville what 2 years or so right?

I've heard they are pretty close. Like I said not expecting a flip or anything just a weird move a few days after committing elsewhere. Although I don't think it is any secret he committed to UGA because that is what mom was pushing.

I think his dad knows what's up on the hill. He knows the college football landscape. I would not send my kid to Georgia or Ohio State.

As a state employee, momma may get free tickets.

Sounds like Mr. Van is on his way to Athens.

I come in peace, just passing along info for those who care to know

Thanks.

Do you know if this conflicts with him being in Knoxville on Sunday night?

It would make sense for him to go to both.
