If you go back and read my posts you would see I love the commitment and pickup- never been negative about any of the prospects though whatever is going on with TG is starting to worry me. (high school rumors and all that jazz) The main point of my argument was over the use of athleticism being used because he played baseball.

Yes hitting a baseball is very effing difficult. So while I am no pro- and never said I was- I have played against high school talent- way better than me at baseball. But explain to me how hitting a ball makes him faster, stronger, have more agility or any of the things that go into being an 'athlete', which I think he is a good athlete(way more athletic than I am). The point I was making is that a generic baseball player isnt going to be able to switch over and run wind sprints, make sharp cuts or be strong from baseball training. And yes while I played soccer it was because at his age i was maybe 5'-4" 110 lbs. The most exciting thing that happens in baseball is a homerun/grand slam in which the 'athlete' has earned the ability to trot around the diamond in straight lines. Not exactly setting him up to tear up SEC defenses. Again because you have forgotten already I love that we got Dormady and I think he will have a great career in this system. Now to relatively not clutter up the thread I will not continue a 'which sport is greater debate'- because none are, different strokes for different lazy folks. And if you want to trade which is more difficult I will throw out there a goalie defending a penalty kick is also incredibly difficult, why? because the speed of the ball and distance are too great/too little for the human mind to process the information before the action is over. so the goalie has to go off instinct and quick twitch to block a ball his mind hasn't even registered yet.
All in good fun, go vols, go Dormady! :loco:
