Now of course that could be looked at and said with Gibson being an "ATH" he could be a take like Jennings.

Then you have to point out that all the "Gibsonites" have said he is a "QB" and not an "ATH". So if that were the case, he is not in play.

Then of course the conversation becomes was it coach speak and telling a kid what he wants to hear.

The best thing for Dormady & his parents to do is ask the coaches directly. "Are you just taking Me(Dormady) and Jennings in 2015? Would you take a commitment from Torrance Gibson? Will we all 3 be lined up as QBs our 1st day at Tennessee? IMO that would answer a lot of ?'s and either solidify him as a Vol or have him looking at all his options again.

Butch Jones is not going to lie to this kid. Butch is a straight shooter and his reputation as a recruiter is on the line when he tells a kid such.

So Butch is a straight shooter and wouldn't lie to Dormady , but lied to Gibson when he told him he was the number one qb target? Ok.

How do we know that Butch is saying that? Maybe he did, maybe he didn't.

It may have been said at one time, but recruiting is fluid and the need to get a top QB in the fold could not wait until NSD. Bringing Dormady onboard has changed the equation. Butch is not in a position to change what he told to a current commitment, who is loyally in the fold.

I am going to take the word of Dormady, who is 100% committed to Tennessee. I totally believe he is a straight shooter and that Butch is too.

Please tell me more as you seem to be privy to everything CBJ tells recruits. It's either that or you believe everything people say on message boards!

There is a reason we are number 1 for Gibson and his only vist this summer is back here next week. If something changed we wouldn't still have the full court press on Gibson.

I kind of get the feeling Gibson's "list" is getting shorter and it's not so much him eliminating schools. IMO schools are starting to go in other directions and or like other "QBs" more while he enjoys the process. 5-6 months from now his best offer could very well be playing WR in Knoxville.

AU will always take him at QB. No one better in the country for their offense.

Dormady has smart parents. That is exactly what they did-they asked Butch Jones if he would take commitment from other kids to play QB and who would be lined up to compete at QB. A smart set of parents would not do anything less than that.

Or its the fact that we will most likely get him that's turning teams off. Its known we lead by a wide margin . URB doesn't recruit a player once it seems they have no shot. Even the tOSU boards are saying that's what happened. The other schools are all stil after him hard.

IMO other schools started to go in other directions BEFORE Tennessee led by a "wide margin". OSU took Burrows and stopped contacting Gibson, yet still look to be considering other QBs. LSU took a QB. UCF took a QB. Tennessee took a 2nd QB. Gibson plays around much longer and IMO his options are going to be very limited unless he throws a new 5-10 schools into his "top group".

I have read enough form various reporters who have seen some practices and have talked to the coaches and players behind the scenes and they have reported what the players and coaches have told them. If you have paid attention to what the writers have said, you would know and understand the same thing.

Is Worley likely going to start? Sure. No argument there.

Is there a massive gap between he and Dobbs? Nope.

I definitely don't agree with everything Tux says, but there have been several analysts say that Gibson has a higher ceiling at WR. I also think there are some potential red flags like his grades, but I don't think red flags are the reason OSU hasn't been in contact for a while. It looks like they're waving the white flag.

A win is a win. It makes no difference if it's by 20 or by 1. Teams don't get an asterisk by the game signifying how much they won or lost by. Worley was a big reason we beat SC and that trumps his bad game at USA.

Last year Worley was 55.6%. 10 TDs and 8 INTs
Last year Dobbs was 59.5%. 2 TDs and 6 INTs + 1 Rushing TD (all 3 TDs against UK)

You cant say Dobbs played great and then say Worley was throwing them in the dirt. Both of them made some bad throws. But 1 thing that Worley did that Dobbs didnt, was throw the ball away sometimes (although not too often)

You could tell Dobbs has more arm talent, but neither were too spectacular


EDIT: I will also mention the play calling was terrible in the vandy game and was also part of the reason North got hurt. U cant run a quick screen every other play when it maybe picks up 2 yds

North, Palardy, and our defense were the biggest reasons. Worley almost lost the game with all the 3-outs. Our D came to play that day.

Like I said almost doesn't count. Worley threw a TD pass that helped us win the game. You can say whatever you want but NOTHING will change that fact.

Am I the only one who read this and thought the coaches didnt tell him anything? He didnt answer the question. He just stated his opinion.
