'15 VA DT Tim Settle

Here's my order for best coach in my mind.

1) Stripling
2) Martinez
3) Mahoney
4) Thigpen
5) Gillespie
6) Bajakian
7) Elder
8) Jancek
9) Azzani

Bowling green- From reading back it seems they had strong WR corps all 4 yrs he was there. He also coached Freddie Barnes (NCAA record holder) as a freshman (obviously doesn't mean it was all due to Z).

CMU-Coached Antonio Brown (NFL), Kito Poblah (CFL)

Wisconsin- coached Jared abberderis during a season where he had 78 catches ( CAREER HIGH, NOT DOWN FROM THE YR BEFORE), 1081 yds (CAREER HIGH), and 7 TDs

No.

Z was with Abberderis in 2012, only 49 catches for 837 yards, down from the year before and the year after in catches and yards.

Antonio Brown is the highlight of his resume, and it's a good highlight.

You are correct. I was looking at it wrong. I still believe he is one of the best at teaching the fundamentals and the small stuff at WR

I have no problem with Z, he may turn out fine. Strip has proven many times though that he can develop pro players.

Strip is like 40 something and and azzani might be 30, though.

Thats like saying, Dale Earnhardt was better than Jimmy Johnson because Earnhardt had already proven himself even though Johnson was like 10.

I really dont care about NASCAR. Just using it for arguments sake.

Once Z wins multiple national titles like JJ, you can say that :) No one thought JJ was better than Earnhardt when he first came on the scene. No one could have, it would have just been unfounded guessing. There's always a chance that an up and Comer will turn out better than a proven winner like Strip. But to say he is already better than the proven winner is unfounded opinion.

I think you have Martinez way too low. I have Strip and Willie 1a and 1b, Gillespie, Thig, and then flip a coin for the rest of the order.

If you aren't using NFL players and continuity with the same coach as criteria, what is your criteria?

The honest answer is I have none, because I don't believe it's possible to judge.

You don't "coach" a kid into the NFL. NFL players are born.

NFL players are made. Khalil Mack proves that among with other three stars. Derek Dooley would of been decent here if that was true.

So CBJ makes these kids 6'3 330? Becoming a pro athlete is all about genetics. Very little coaching involved.
