'16 AL WR Velus Jones (Transfer)

Everything I'm hearing on Martin is that he's not coming here. When CBJ took over the interview with Martin was to placate boosters. He was hiring CZA from the jump. He's angling for the OC position at USC.

That being said, coaching changes have become as fluid as recruiting these days so anything can happen. It would take more than just WR coach to bring him here. Passing coordinator, recruiting coordinator, assistant head coach. Possibly all the above.

In your opinion, do you think Tee has earned that? I see no issue with it so long as Gillespie is happy with it. He's a strong recruiting coordinator it seems.

Eazy, GFW. Notorious. Any others

What you guys hearing?

Whoa...anyone hearing anything?

There is some smoke to this. Would not be surprised if it happened sooner rather than later.

I asked a good source about this and all I got in response was a smile. This was about a week ago

If I was head coach, and clearly I'm not, I go to my staff first. Specifically Coach G. I'd offer Martin WR coach and passing game coordinator. And then groom him to be the next OC.

I think it would be wise to have a different passing game coordinator than CZA. He's not exactly of the "Fun and Gun" pedigree. We need fresh young eyes on the passing game, one with contemporary concepts.

Maryland HC, has Off Coordinator job down to either ZA, or Jedd Fish, F.W.I.W

Report: D.J. Durkin Offers Jedd Fisch Offensive Coordinator Position At Maryland

DIEHARDSPORT
According to sources of Michael Spath of The Wolverine.com, D.J. Durkin has offered Fisch the offensive coordinator position. Spath also notes that Fisch is giving Durkin’s offer some thought. Meanwhile, the Maryland Scout.com board is saying that the job is between Fisch and Tennessee’s Zach Azzanni.

Fisch, who signed a one-year deal with Michigan for $200,000, proved his worth for the Wolverines last year as the co-offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator.

Fisch joined Harbaugh on an in-home visit this past weekend to see top WR target Dylan Crawford.

I want to be wrong here. It would be a major coup for us.

I don't know about coaching wise but recruiting and current WR relationship wise it would be massive. The good thing is it sounds like regardless Butch will be very hands on with WRs as he was starting with UGA game so coaching wise may not be a deal breaker with as much as he brings to table in other areas.

Yep. Easily remedied.
Tee would tell him that he sure proved him wrong.
Slap on the back and it's all good.

And Hurd would respond by saying that he didn't need to prove him anything.

Not saying it's a huge deal, but I don't think it can be totally dismissed. After what happened with the initial interview, I am not one that clamors for Tee back. Doesn't matter either way to me- I trust Butch Jones.

Think VN is making it exponentially more of a deal than either one of them are making it....or would make it

x10000. How many athletes or coaches have said something about another athlete or coach only to wind up working/playing with each other one day? High level sports aren't a big world.

Tee was frustrated and said something in jest that he thought was in private. If a mic hadn't been around, no one knows this. It's not like he went on the Gameday set and announced it to the world.

Fortenberry p*sses on the parade:

"He has been calling Velus Jones and telling him he's staying at USC and that he needs to come visit when the dead period lifts. That's why Velus apparently didn't commit to Oklahoma yesterday."

Much like beating Florida...I'll believe Tee is coming back when I see him on the sidelines coaching the Vols.
