'16 D.C. DE/TE Devante Brooks (UT commit 1/15/15)

Wolf? Have you ever seen him in person? I've ran into him on campus many time and I can assure you that he is a legit 6'6" 240-250.

Should have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express IMOJMOTIFWWBBQ

I might objectively jump miles over that Inuit fort while whirling Bob Barker's Quail???

Wolf is already as good or better than Luke Stocker who went in the 4th round at 6'5" and 255-260 lbs. 2nd or 3rd round projection IMO. The NFL is already familiar with what Butch does with TE's with the development of Travis Kelce at Cincy, who is the same 6"6" and 260 lbs and went in the 3rd round to KC. Wolf is every bit as good, probably better at this stage than him.

The freshman O'Grady at Arkansas is impressive and Blazevich at GA was the top ranked TE coming out of HS in 2014. I still don't understand why we didn't give Harris a look out of Clarksville last year as we're still thin at TE?

Again, I'm a fan of Wolf. He reminds me a bit of O'Leary from FSU who was a really good college TE. Wolf needs to add some quality weight before attempting to step up to the NFL IMO, JMO, TIFWIW.

Harris is from Columbia I think, he really had no interest in UT and made it apparent from day 1.

I'd have to see that myself before I believe it. Now I don't work at a circus and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I'd guess he's more like 6'-4" or slightly more and around 235 Again, just how he appears to me, TIFWIW, JMO.

That's cause the rest of our team is so huge. Hurd is 6'4" 242. Dobbs is 6'3". Malone is 6'3". North is 6'3". Coleman Thomas is 6'6".

We've got a team filled with guys with NFL measurables.

I don't think 'can play in the league' is in question. Question that started all this centered around his ability to leave early and be a high draft pick. IMO, he is 100% able to play in the NFL. And he is 100% a 4-year player in college. No way he leaves early.

Veteran O line and Wolf will be nice breaking in the new QB in two yrs.

I'd be pretty reluctant to let him go. This kid was one of the better TEs in the class before the injury... arguably second behind Nauta. We've also had some early success standing by a kid who got injured in high school with Hall (not that this is necessarily predictive of Brooks... just a precedent for not cutting bait because of injury). Throw in the fact that Wolf is pretty much our only high-quality TE at the moment, and...

If we do part ways with Brooks, I hope we have a good backup plan.

Would've been nice if Helm had stuck around.
