OVERALL TRAITS
Size-Strength-Speed
Smaller frame but is a lightning bolt of speed and quickness. Will need to add size and strength to his frame for improved yards after contact and durability improvement. Has some of the better play-speed we have seen in this class.
Vision/Patience
Sees daylight well in tight spaces and has the foot-speed to get through tight seams. Runs decisively when a hole is present and has the patience to bounce and stretch or pick and slide in-line.
Agility/Acceleration
Burst and acceleration are at an elite level. Will stick his foot in the ground and split defenders up the seam going from 0-60 in a hurry. Sudden cutter in-line and can get around the corner on perimeter runs. Not an ankle breaker in the open field but is shifty and has the change of speed ability to outrun pursuing DB's without flashy elusiveness.
Power/Balance
Not built real powerfully but is quick-twitched and explosive on contact which allows him to break arm tackles. Uses leverage well and bounces off a lot of first contact. Difficult runner to align for a direct shot, particularly in-line. Retains feet and balance well.
Bottom Line
Fils-Aimes shows some elite flashes but had limited playing time as a junior due to injury. Game-changing potential at the next level in an all-purpose type role. He will be a prospect we track closely in the spring and summer camp circuit and next Fall for consistent production.
