Davis is 6'2", around 220lbs. Runs about a 4.6 apparently. Could probably get faster in a strength/conditioning program, but it's all good. It's a shame there aren't successful receivers with similar numbers. You know, other than-
Dez Bryant
Alshon Jeffery
Keenan Allen
Anquan Boldin
Larry Fitzgerald
But, maybe your scouting is better than some NFL no-names...![]()
I know this might sound blasphemous but I don't see Davis as the #1 receiver in the country. Or even as a elite 5 star guy. IMO he doesn't have either elite speed or elite size. He looks like he's 6'1" - 6'2" and runs in the mid 4.6 40 range. Now he does have tremendous ball skills but if my WR runs a 4.6 then I need him to be 6'4" or taller like Preston Williams or if he 6'2" or shorter I need him to run in the 4.4 range.
IMO its Mecole Hardman/Velus Jones or bust for us at WR.
Maybe if we have some staff shakeup after this year, Butch can get you on the staff. Isn't azzani the recruiting coordinator? That would be perfect for you. You obviously know more than everyone Butch has on staff, including himself. Good luck, man.

OMG. Please stop!!! First Dobbs is the most accurate passer in the NCAA except when his OL or WRs let him down and now Davis is a scrub. obviously, you take KD.
But, I tend to agree with OV. In this offense, having 2-3 5'11"- 6'0" guys that run in the 4.3 range would take things to a new level.
The difference is what Von does on a jet sweep, and what Chris Rainey, Jeff Demps, and Percy harvin did on jet sweeps. I HATED seeing those guys get put in motion. IMO, that's the threat we need on this team.
On the other hand, if QD is the next man up in a couple years, then deep ball guys are more valuable. I'm partial to pure speed tho.
