'16 GA ATH Kyle Davis

When I look at photographs of Kyle Davis, the first thought that comes to mind is, "a young Terrell Owens," albeit hopefully without the attitude. Purely in terms of physique, I don't believe I've ever seen a more NFL-ready body displayed by a high school senior, at least not at the wide receiver position. If anyone is built to catch the ball in heavy traffic across the middle, it's Kyle Davis. If anyone can outmuscle the tight press coverage of Florida or Alabama cornerbacks, it's Kyle Davis.

Croom was certainly jacked, coming out of HS

OV didn't say Kyle was garbage just not the best fit for our needs in this class which is a quick twitch Mecole type.

Agree we need more speedster WRs but you also need big physical WRs who can get the tough yards or make a tough catch in the endzone. And of course be a force in the running game.

You absolutely take KD all day everyday and fill in around him.

I don't care about your evaluation of a player.

It goes beyond 'not caring' about his evaluation. It just makes sound logical sense to completely ignore his evaluation of players. Even if I had some compassionate reason to care about D4H's evaluation I would do myself a disservice if I gave his evaluations any legitimacy.

All of this, and I don't appreciate being labeled a start gazer and lectured on the subject by some random know-it-all.

But more do. That's the point. Its a numbers game at the end of the day. Thus, why not go with the prospect that checks all the boxes.

You're making it a black or white issue though, and it's just not. WAAAY too many examples that blow your rigid 6-2/4.4 rule of thumb out of the water.

And as for Davis and Hardman, why does it have to be either/or? Why can't we just take both if we're so lucky?

Considering North and Croom can't stay healthy id say we have a pretty strong need for a bigger WR. We need the Hardeman/Jones type more but we need them all IMO

Speed. Hardman has elite long range speed and short range quickness. He's a Christian Kirk type prospect.

I'm big on physical measurables. Like I said, if the receiver is 6'2" or below, I need him to run 4.4.

Well now, we sure wouldn't want to jam a square peg in a round hole......

doesn't Kyle check all the boxes?
-he can block his ass off
-can catch
-athletic for somebody who's built like a linebacker
-complete badass
