CBs may say UGA or AU. Derrick Brown says:

“It is like no other place I’ve been to. You can feel it in Knoxville. They call it VFL—‘Vol for Life’—and at the end of the day, those people really are Volunteers. They’re not Georgia fans one week and Florida fans the next week. Those people are Volunteers.”

And that's before his OV this weekend. I like our chances.

Both guys are great prospects imo, gotta try and get both if they both want in. Final class could be tboth dts warrior and byrd. Seem to have plenty of optuons this year which is nice. My thought now after previous years is if butch and ut get the last visit, its hard to consider that guy a commit..IMO. They seem to impress

Gabe Wright was a 2011 recruit. AU got him a month after a perfect 14-0 season with a Heisman trophy winner to boot.

Lambert was a 2014 recruit. AU got him a month after playing in the National Championship game, and having one of the most crazy memorable seasons ever.

AU was 7-6 last year after being ranked preseason Top 10, and Malzahn's seat is now heating up.

Neither of those two prior situations line up with Brown's recruitment this year.

True if there are no rules regarding # of scholarships

I know VN and yourself think we are taking any and all but that isn't the reality of recruiting

Moss comes sprinting down the sideline and the guy is flying but it looked so effortless! Anyway, Chad hits him, long td pass, and as Moss goes to the sidelines he yells at the band, "I hate your ****ty fight song!"

I gotta admit, as weird a guy as he was, I was always a fan of Moss, at least as an athlete.

Edit: That Derrick Brown guy isn't bad either... Sorry mods.

What if we have 4 spots? Is that realistic?

What if Brown and Daniels both want in but not Kongbo and not Byrd?

Them doing an in home with Daniels says absolutely nothing we haven't known about Brown for months....that he is not committed to anyone.

I think if Daniels wanted in right now we would take his commitment and we'd still push for Brown as well.

You're trying to read into something that doesn't need reading into.

Even if you're right I still think we would make room for 4 if needed. And if Brown is not committed then you push for Daniels. If you don't in home with him you're essentially eliminating yourself from that race.

I still think we ink more signatures on Wednesday than 20.

Another CB from Niebuhr for Auburn..you would think that someone from 24/7 would take a chance on us having last visit but we haven't even got one CB for him ever..Auburn has the last 5

I didn't buy the 3 spots left either until yesterday.

A few times I have posted I have a contact that is very close to recruiting. I don't ask him very often what is going on but he was pretty firm and confident that 3 was the number

If we were to get really lucky and get 5 of Brown, Daniels, Warrior, Dickerson, Byrd, and Kongbo, you can bet that Butch will find a way to make room. Would probably offer some other guys greyshirts or gitshirts. :)

I don't know that we would be able to take all 6 of those, but I agree that he probably has a contingency plan to take up to 5. Zach Stewart didn't enroll this semester, so that probably gives them one spot back, then there will likely be at least one or two that runs into some kind of academic/clearinghouse issue before fall camp begins.

I think Brown, Dickerson and Warrior are the 3 Big Fish that we pull out all the stops for. Kongbo, Daniels or Byrd would be icing on the cake
