Those CB's are jumping the gun and downplaying the potential impact of his visit to UT.

He's already raving about the Vols. Butch knows how to host a visit. He's got such a great chance here. This has to be one of the bigger recruiting weekends of his tenure so far. So many potential pieces just asking to be wooed and embraced.

Tennessee sells itself. We just have to get them here. This is not over til it's over.

We can't sign enough players to slide into the 6-10 spot i would say 13 is as high as we can go considering Number constrains.

Respectfully disagree, I've seen people say we could sign as many as 23. Adding most of the guys we are still very in on would boost us to number 4 currently. Factoring in the increases in the classes for other teams as well, my prediction if things go well is final ranking of 9.

Stop worrying about rankings, if we get the players we are after and have a legit shot at getting will make this a very good class. The difference between the 10th ranked class and the 15th ranked class is minimal

Exactly right. If we land Warrior, Kongbo, Byrd and Brown, I will not give a rat's hairy bottom where we are in the rankings. That would be Butch's best recruiting job yet. Every need met with a big time player.

Lots of whining on here way prematurely. Man, it is not signing day yet. Take it from somebody that has seen many of them, things are not in stone. Watch our bull run on signing day, once again Jones and staff will get it done and everybody on here will act like they knew it all along. We may not hit every player, but we will sign a great class and we are headed towards championships. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

Then what should we do until signing day if we don't wildly fly off the handle either one direction or the other? I guess I could do some work but that not likely to happen.

I could be wrong but the JUCOs count against our numbers but don't count toward our class rating. We have two studs and perhaps a third JUCO that I will take over ratings points.

ESPN didn't used to count JUCOs in their rankings...I believe they do now. Scout always has...Rivals?...not sure...same with 247.

I believe that all recruiting sites takes JUCOs into class ratings now. ESPN didn't for awhile, but pretty sure that's changed.

OV throw us a bone.
A teaser please

Has OV ever even commented in this thread? Seems odd that he hasn't said much in a Georgia kid's thread. He's even posted some inside info in a couple of Florida kid's threads lately.

I guess the thought that the Brown's are playing it all close to the vest are true.

If Brown knew for sure that he was going to go to Auburn all this time, why would he even bother taking an last official visit to Tennessee? I mean most experts are already thinking its a done deal to Auburn but they're not the ones speaking for Brown. He's playing it close to the vest and he's given plenty of hints that he loves Tenneseee and everything about it. That tweet he posted saying he's very excited about visiting Tennessee this weekend, tells me all I need to know so he doesn't sound like an Auburn lock to me. Not to mention his family is on our side. If he gets comfortable with Shoop, Vol on NSD. The crystal ball picks don't mean jack **** right now.

Just ask yourself if you'd rather have Auburn's situation. Having all of the EXPERTS declaring it a done deal for us right before his last visit with a staff that knows how to land them. I vote us.

Well D4H said we'd be top 6 if that happened so there...

Actually... if I recall from this or the Kongbo thread GFW or someone else (correct me if I'm wrong GFW) said we may have a spot or two more than most people think. Maybe 22-23.

Now imagine a close with Byrd, Dickerson, Brown, Warrior, Kongbo, etc. Some combination of that. There would definitely be top 10 potential.

Some guys are torn throughout the process. Some guys just want to enjoy the free trips and attention. A lot of them know where they are going before they even take the first of their five trips. I think the Brown's have known where he ends up for a while. Just playing it out.

Yep. Iirc, Darrell Taylor had not a single CB to Tennessee last year the day he committed. Everybody was shocked, shocked I tell ya, that he said he was gonna be a Vol. DB will be in Knoxville this weekend, Butch and the boys (and maybe the girls 😉) will be doing their thing....I like our chances.

Yeah probably. #eyediscipline #perseverance
To every recruit he says, "Life is about timing, and it's the right time to be at Tennessee."

I'm not a Butch hater. I think he's a good CEO but needs excellent coordinators. Has he ever said anything or showed us anything that tells us he's an X's and O's guy and not just a motivator?

LOL even Nick Saban needs excellent coordinators. I don't believe Butch is just a motivator. I think that he is an X's and O's coach on the offensive side.

Don't see us in the Top 10, but Butch has always pulled atleast one unknown on Signing Day. I say 13 and it may be one of our best class statistically to date if we land the right kids.
