Did anyone see this coming? I haven't hear anyone mention him in a few weeks.

All I can say is he's got all the tangibles to be a good one. His VN thread is relatively new but his name has been floating around for a while now...I think a lot of SEC schools legitimately wanted this kid. Take him and ask questions later.

Butch is doing work in GA...NC...LA...MI...this staff is doing a tremendous job on the recruiting trail.

I was surprised that McCargo committed to UNC several days ago. With Hamm committing, that looks like the reason. Hamm must have been higher on our board.

Offered by Georgia 2 years ago:
The offer might have surprised Hamm, but Spalding coach Nick Davis understands Georgia's attraction. He coached former Bulldogs offensive lineman Cordy Glenn -- who started as a rookie last season for the Buffalo Bills -- at Riverdale High School and believes Hamm has the same potential.

"This is still kind of surreal for him since he just turned 15 in January, but he was excited about it," Davis said of Hamm, who is already 6-foot-3 and 292 pounds. "He is a lot like Cordy Glenn, who I had at Riverdale, in that he moves really well for his size, plays basketball, too, and has a size 18 shoe."

Georgia Bulldogs offer scholarship to tackle Broadarious Hamm, 15

Started out as a big defensive lineman in ninth grade. Played both sides of the ball as a junior and offensive line looks to be where his future is. Has very good feet and coordination for a lineman of his size. Can be a mauler in the trenches and likes to drive guys off the ball. Still learning to play OL, but has a lot of traits to like. Has natural power and good bend. Likely to be a big guard who can pull on the next level.
Brodarious Hamm: Analysis

Brodarius is a first year lineman that is just beginning to learn to play Offensive Tackle. Sure this young lineman is raw, but his size and power are so evident on film that when he does master the finer points of technique, he can become awfully good.

I was impressed with his: Punishing Power, ability to step out in Pass Pro, moves extremely well for a big man. He plays with a nasty streak (see film 1:57 mark). His upside is off the charts.

Why not higher than 3rd (best OL in Georgia)? Very raw football player, whose talent, size and strength are obvious, but his technique needs a major overhaul, and I view him as a Guard on the next level.

[Nick] Davis has coached Hamm for three years, but he missed his [sophomore] season after tearing his ACL.

"A lot of people don't realize it, but he was a first-year starter last year," Davis said. "So he's still working on basic fundamentals. What gets his in trouble sometimes is he's overly aggressive. But he can play multiple positions. To be as big as he is, most people can't move as well as he does. He has great feet and hands and is explosive coming off the line. He's been showing a lot more leadership from a physical standpoint and is dominant in run blocking and quickness."
