Has anyone got any updates on Callaway? 247 has him as a slight lean toward Ga, but I have not seen any other recent updates.

Paul Fortenberry mentioned Callaway this morning on Football Futures. He said the Vols are in a good spot with Callaway. The way he talked about him made it seem like we could have him if we wanted him, but we're waiting to see what other targets decide to do first.

Yeah I think so, too. I'm probably reading too much into it, but the way he phrased it just seemed weird. He said Callaway will be back on campus sometime in January and he really didn't mention any other schools as competition like he did with the other recruits that he discussed.

Imo if callaway and corley wanted in then you make room and upgrade the volunteer list.

Callaway has been very quiet about recruitment, in general, so that's probably why the other schools weren't mentioned. Right now, no one really has a very good idea on "who is leading" with him. Auburn, Georgia, and Notre Dame were thought to be in the mix, though Auburn getting Kyle Davis may help our odds here.

That would help someone who does not know how to post the links if the person who does not know does know where to look for "the button that has Earth with a small chain link on it, it's right next to the IMG button."

Very likely he's already on board because he's been high on the Vols for a long time. Possible the staff have a spot but since WR recruiting is tough this year they could have him staying silent so numbers don't scare anyone off. Completely baseless nothing better to do right now while shopping opinion, but it sounds awesome..

Callaway. We have a couple Corley types. We've missed a callaway type. Who's the better recieved at the end of their careers? Don't know. But there's a reason we didn't win the Kyle Davis battle, which i believe we could have and should have won. I don't think its that we didn't want him, but i think maybe the coaching staff is really focused on finding that next dynamic slot receiver, matchup nightmare for linebackers and safeties.

Callaway's senior stats (11 games): 34 receptions for 526 yards & 5 TDs...14 carries for 154 yards & 1 TD...6 KO returns for 182 yards...6 punt returns for 76 yards...3 INTs.

BTW P. Fort seems to think this is our most realistic option at WR. With Velus looking like he's going to Oklahoma and Corley looking like he'll go to the B10, I think this is our guy.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Callaway said he’s scheduled to travel to Tennessee the weekend of Jan. 15, Mississippi State the weekend of Jan. 23 and Ole Miss the weekend of Jan. 29.The 247Sports Crystal Ball points to Georgia and Tennessee as the favorites to land Callaway, with the home-state Bulldogs getting 54 percent of the current predictions and the Vols getting the other 46 percent. But Tennessee has received the six most recent picks.
