I've always been excited about George. I really think next year we'll begin throwing the ball down field a lot because our offensive line SHOULD be able able to hold blocks since Dobbs still doesn't have much time at all to throw the ball. As it stands now, this will be our WR/TE rotation next year with height listed:

Jeff George: 6'6"
Ethan Wolf: 6'6"
Jason Croom: 6'5"
Preston Williams: 6'4"
Marquez North: 6'3"
Jauan Jennings: 6'3"
Josh Malone: 6'3"
Josh Smith: 6'1"

That looks almost exactly like our line up now, and so far doesnt look too hard to stop unfortunately.

Dobbs needs to show he can make the deep throws. I think ultimately the coaches lack confidence in his deep ball and that's why we don't see him air it out but once or twice a game.

I think ultimately the WRs need to get off press coverage to give him a chance. The OU game had more pass plays called in the second half than running plays. It's not the coaches doubting Josh, it's the fact that the offense cannot hold up to pressure to complete those types of downfield passes. It's a gamble with the QB's health every time we call one with this line and these WRs.

He mentioned the OL aspect...I'm not sure how much better NEXT year's line will be ...but it's a factor.
