The dude can block but when we needed him in the red zone he would drop it or not get open for the pass. Oklahoma he did it twice where he had 30 pounds and 3 inches on a guy but he didn't try to muscle to catch the pass. At times he seemed too passive for how large he is. I'm hoping George provides us a more reliable red zone threat at the very least.????
You lost me on this one.
Best blocking WR we have and if I'm not mistaken was our leading Red Zone receiver last year. Is there room for improvement.....yes, but for no longer than the QB had in the pocket last year, JC had a decent season. None of our WR's had killer stats last year.
JMO of course.

Agreed. It just frustrates me that he either A) doesn't realize his size and strength [doubtful] OR B) he doesn't have quite the skills to do so. That's why I mentioned I hope at the very least that George is a serious red zone threat. Hope Croom puts it all together this yearI have been on Croom's case since he got here, but we knew he was more of a project coming in and had to learn to use his physicality. He has the body of Clavin Johnson, but needs to realize that there isn't really a DB who can guard him if he doesn't want them to. If he carried that mindset, that he's better than anyone, he would be unstoppable. Will he do so is the question, but I have to give the kid credit because he did make major strides last year. If he improves as much as he did during that jump he could be special.
We're rooting for ya big fella.
