??? U guessing or do you have actual info? Broken bones and ankle ligament years don't take that long to recover from. Laquon Treadwell had a worse injury about the same time as Shy last year and he was full go to start fall camp.
I believe the difference may be in the weight of each player. Big difference in someone who weighs over 300 pounds vs a receiver :}:}:}. All that weight eventually goes to the foot :}:}:}.
The physics of human anatomy and physiology. For each step you take nine or 10 times your bodyweight is the force equivalent through your foot and ankle. So yes that extra hundred plus pounds is truly a meaningful difference.
Per Hubbs
I was excited about Johnson when he committed but Bama showing interest tells me this kid must be really good because Bama seems to do better with JUCOs than any other SEC program. We, historically, do not have a high batting average with JUCOs (even though we have landed some stars from the JUCO ranks).
Don't you think a 300 lb athlete typically has larger bones, ligaments, etc vs a 150 lb athlete allowing the heavier athlete to support a greater body weight?
They've had busts that were juco players too. Butch is identifying talent better than Saban. IMO He's not coaching them as well as Saban though. Butch hasn't missed on many kids talent wise though. That's why the team looks loaded and we're still young. But physically we look on par with Alabama just from the eyeball test. That's why we've looked better than any other team that's played them. And we physically looked better than Oklahoma and Florida. Everyone could see who had the more talented team. If it's defined like that you know he's not missing on many guys.
We were not more talented than Florida and Oklahoma.
