'16 LA DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles - (Former UT Commit 8/29/15)

I'll admit that Christmas does look like a 35 year old man, but we keep losing commitment. Maybe this a scheme, drop a 3 star because of a supposed 4 star is interested.

He is going to LSU he committed to us when he didnt think he would get a LSU offer, don't need him if not all VOL GOOD BYE, replace him with another 4 star we want TRUE VFL not wanna bee's like him, know he is a young kid but good bye good luck move on to another 4 star. This goes on every year we will lose 1 or 2 more before NSD but we will steal 1 or 2 from somebody else, just part of it don't need to panic when NSD get's here we will have a class that will fill our needs and add depth that's all we need out of this class then in 17 load up and have a great top 5 class like the 14 and 15 class.

Didn't use the correct form of "their" Butch probably thought he would hurt our APR. He found out this year you can get a bowl game at 5-7 with a high enough APR so he is hedging his bets.

Lsu bound. Next man up. Staff thinks they have a very legit chance at Brown. He is listening to UT more and more. DCG's decommitment has more to do with the Lsu offer than anything. Staff really wanted to hang on to this one.

And this is the exact reason I have no problem with our coaches deciding to ask someone to look around, because they feel they can replace that prospect for someone better. The same thing happens to us, because the prospect feels he has a better fit elsewhere. Good luck, young man

Exactly. Kids can't cry about this stuff when this happens too.

This class won't even break top 30 in the end.... very disappointing ... also, please stop with the "its just a down year" crap... funny, I seem to see the same 5-6 schools every year in the top 10 in recruiting classes and they seem to never have a "down year" in recruiting. Orange colored glasses denial. Used car salesman is fading and kids are getting hip to the jive... here's to hoping we close hard on some kids, especially with the momentum we seem to be having as a program and kids are still leaving left and right... something is not right.

To be fair we just pulled two scholarship offers to players committed to our team, goes both ways.

Recruiting get's dirty sometimes when your number's are low you can't miss on many or you will be looking for a job, plus a 17 or 18 year old mind is going to change from time to time.

Not sure staff ever really considered him committed. St. Augustine in NO is a LSU school. Fournette went there. I think Vol staff figured once LSU offered he would go. LSU lost on DTs they had higher ranked and need DTs bad.

stop being politically correct and tell us what you think, man!

Step back from the ledge buddy.

We probably won't have a top 10 class, but that was expected. We can't take normal numbers since we took so many over the past two years.

Chill. Also, no one says hip to the jive.

I will say it is disappointing, with both the unviersities and the players, that a commitment means next to nothing anymore. The social media age and the development of this "sport" into a business has really taken all meaning from the word commitment. It surprises me now days when a big recruit stays committed through his entire process.

These kids really need to just stop committing early. Take your time and make the right decision but don't make an unnecessary announcement to blow smoke up your twitter followers ass.

My favorite is when they say "come on guys, hit that follow and ill announce more news on my commitment status" and then the dude churns out his top 20 schools. Its become a circus.

You guys that think we are legit gonna be outside the top 20 when its all said and done are outside of your minds. Relax. Enjoy the Holidays and let it play out. We will close strong enough to crack the top 15 minimum. I would guarantee that if that meant anything lol.

You sound like an utterly insufferable human being.
