I will say it is disappointing, with both the unviersities and the players, that a commitment means next to nothing anymore. The social media age and the development of this "sport" into a business has really taken all meaning from the word commitment. It surprises me now days when a big recruit stays committed through his entire process.

These kids really need to just stop committing early. Take your time and make the right decision but don't make an unnecessary announcement to blow smoke up your twitter followers ass.

My favorite is when they say "come on guys, hit that follow and ill announce more news on my commitment status" and then the dude churns out his top 20 schools. Its become a circus.

We allow it. I'm OK with it. It keeps things interesting. It's a process.

What the! these kids that have a low profile when UT offers and now the other schools come in and they bolt because of the all of the sudden popularity.......give me a break! where is the loyalty after UT has stuck with him through his injury. I can't help but not to want them to be successful, but I know their 17/18 and have a bunch of people whispering in their ears.............just another disappointing decommit, I am praying CBJ has something up his sleeve.

This class won't even break top 30 in the end.... very disappointing ... also, please stop with the "its just a down year" crap... funny, I seem to see the same 5-6 schools every year in the top 10 in recruiting classes and they seem to never have a "down year" in recruiting. Used car salesman is fading and kids are getting hip to the jive... here's to hoping we close hard on some kids, especially with the momentum we seem to be having as a program and kids are still leaving left and right... something is not right.

Sad to see him go but honestly I understand it. If the Vols offered me to play football for them, I would go there no matter when they offered in the process. You grow up loving a home state school and that's just where you dream of playing. I wish him the best of luck and hope he doesn't mind a coaching change, because I doubt Miles makes it another 3 years.

I'm sorry but it might take me a couple days to stop laughing at you, and then more than likely I'll start laughing at you again on NSD. This isn't going to be a great class for UT-- aka top 5-- and it never was going to be, but it most certainly will be within the top 15. It'll be somewhere between 8-15.
