Kongbo. He is much more explosive and is a JUCO guy. We need instant impact guys and not guys who may need some development. Now I'm not saying Simmons won't be an instant impact guy or that kongbo won't need some time to develop but I think Kongbo will produce more next year. Both are great players and if we get both then I'll be stoked.

Simmons is big enough to be dt here so may not even be a choice between him and kongbo

Jeffery Simmons remains a possibility as well, but the Vols are battling the two instate Mississippi schools along with Alabama and Auburn and while he says he wants Tennessee it's hard to find time in his schedule next month if he plans on taking official visits each weekend.

Tennessee quietly positioned itself as a contender for Simmons, a top-50 prospect in the 247Sports Composite, in recent months before hosting him on his first official visit the weekend of Nov. 7 for the Vols’ game against South Carolina. Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State have been viewed for months as the teams to beat for Simmons, but he has continued to indicate since his visit to Tennessee that he’s interested in returning to Knoxville closer to signing day on an unofficial visit with his family. The Vols’ chances of landing him probably hinge on whether he visits them again next month. For now, they’re still a bit of a darkhorse contender, but they’re in his top four.

Get him to visit the last weekend before NSD with the other elite prospects that will be on campus, and I will go on a limb and say he signs with the VOLS.

He already had interest. An elite hire with a visit on the last weekend, and we might pull a big surprise.
