Which o lineman, specifically, did he fail to develop? Ever heard the saying "can't run a champagne business on a beer budget? Look at the players who came in in 2015 and start judging him in 2016-17 on their progress. Also, please consider the offensive numbers post Worley.
Because Bielema? Probably. Pittman has several UT guys in the NFL right now though.
I don't see anything wrong with saying Mahoney may be our worst coach. There's got to be one on the coaching staff 😋 I pick him.
Pittman coached them for one year, just like Mahoney. Those players got drafted because of how well they were in pass blocking, Heidstand was the reason they got drafted. Bert has been putting Wisconsin linemen in the NFL for awhile now, and now he's doing it at Arkansas. Mahoney may be the worst coach on the staff, but Pittman is so overrated on this board.

Skipper would be our LT right now.. If Jones would have kept Pittman. He is mammoth and will play on Sundays
So one player is the reason? What if Pittman would have left like Graham because it was a bad fit? What if he went to Arkansas anyway to play for Bert? It's not that crazy to think Skipper would have flipped even with Pittman still on staff because he had a connection with Chaney
Pittman was a great recruiter at NC and now at Arkansas. That the larger point
Let's be honest about it, Mahoney has proven to be the weak link with his players on the field. He can redeem himself this season with Debord's help. But UT should be the home of a quality O-line every year based on its history of guys logging long careers in the NFL.
I wouldn't say great at UNC. UNC was pulling in great classes all around with Davis as HC. He's s really good recruiter, but so is Mahoney. He may be a little better recruiter and coach than Mahoney, but it's not a night and day difference like people claim it to be. Bert is the reason for Arky's oline recruiting success. For media days, he took only olinemen. He's trying to make olinemen the stars of Arkansas. That's all Bert, not Pittman

The 15 class is as solid as they come, not sure on the timing of their commitments and the Debord hiring. Ol guys dont always have to be recruited like DR. Most of them dont care about hype they're usually lunch pail type personalities. I think our woes go back as far as Fulmer when we witnessed Kiffin forced to play some undersized walk ons. We followed up with a good ol during the Dooley era (eventually) but he slipped by not continuing to recruit players for the future.
Beleima's nickname is Bert.Who's Bert at Arky?
Pittman is a better O-line coach than Mahoney. He's adapted to more systems, head coaches, and been successful developing more NFL players for a longer period than Mahoney. Bert (Bret) and him are two of a kind, which is why he is now associate HC at Arky.
That does not mean Mahoney cannot improve and do better. Will see.

The '15 OL class alone won't cut it. We need 4 or more talented OL this year
