Really don't think JG gives a hot crap about what I think...that was just my expression of dismay. Kids coming off a bad injury, and is about to start his college career. Probably not the brightest idea.

I actually support him in playing with his HS team in playoffs if he feels good enough. It shows me a lot about his character and leadership. He wanting to lead his team with a chance to win a championship. Sure I get the get healthy for college. But I ask you this if he was a Vol and it was his senior year he has an ailing injury and we are bowl bound or hopefully playoff bound, would you want him to sit out and prepare for NFL? Just a thought.

JG threw a couple of TD passes in the 1st quarter but he ended up with -25 yards rushing on 9 carries and was pressured all night long.

Don Bosco Prep took Bergen Catholic’s best shot and rallied from a first quarter deficit to topple the Crusaders 27-21. Guarantano completed 18 of 30 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns, but Bosco’s defense had four sacks, four tackles for loss, and an interception by Haraan Ransom to seal the victory.

From just watching his highlights you'd think JG regularly runs for big yardage, but that's not the case. His career rushing average is 2.1 ypc.

Freshman: 5 carries for 17 yards (3.4 ypc)
Sophomore: 56 for 42 (0.8)
Junior: 107 for 258 (2.4)
Senior: 82 for 204 (2.5)

Behind a good-to-excellent OL at UT, I think he'll put up much better numbers.

Sobering...I'm thinking most of VN has a different idea of what he's done in the high school ranks...at least with the expectations.

Sack yardage included in hs stats?

Not that it matters since he is an elite athlete
