Williams never had a ranking inside the top 100 is my guess unless you are looking at composite(glitch). Please show me he did and I will apologized. Surely there is a record of the rankings and how they evolved

Wtf is the point of you guys arguing? What will you guys accomplish if one was to "win" this argument? Arguing over a 16 or 17 year old kids made up ranking that really doesn't mean much smh lol...

Bruin tends to overthink things and is persistent as they come and BTO is a master at arguing and has a never-ending quest to be right about anything and everything no matter how siginficant. BTO is also a master at crafting his words and his ability to spin would make the world's most gifted politicians jealous.

Actualky, Bruin is right here. Look at the linked Williams profile. Scroll down to the ratings trend graphic. The green line is composite. The blue line is the 247 site ranking.

Yep, and if you look you can see where he was always outside the top 159 on the 247 ranking and you can see when the "glitch" in the composite was fixed around the end of August when this board (germ IIRC) brought it to Jerry Meyer's attention.

At that point, his composite ranking dropped like a rock and more accurately reflected his true "composite."

Definitely one of the stranger recruitments I can recall. It was supposedly a torn decision of Ivy League or SEC, yet now he's going to visit an A10 school? Idk, done trying to figure this one out lol.

On the surface I would possibly agree, but it doesn't add up with Bruner cutting Tennessee, Fulkerson visiting UGA, and Johnson seemingly in no rush. If we landed Okogie, Fulkerson and Johnson that theory would make make sense to me as maybe they decided on only 4 in November, but as hard as they've pursued Williams I don't see them basically deciding all of a sudden that he's just not a take, but I could be wrong.

I guess I am back to thinking the ship sailed and the staff has cooled.

BTO, you've communicated with these kids more than probably anyone outside the staff. How hard have they pursued Williams? Have they had an in-home with him? Have they pushed for a commit. I know they had him in for an official, and that is significant, but what has gone on otherwise? TIA.

I still don't understand why the staff didn't full court press Bruno Fernando. Suppose its too much to hope he or another true big has suddenly become interested.?

I know they were by his school on either the first or second day that was allowed last month, Jenkins/Bone/Fulk/Johnson/Williams/Okogie got the early treatment. I'm not sure about an in home to be honest, but I know they've been by the school multiple times. In my opinion he's very high on their board and I don't see then passing like I said, but maybe they've gotten some good news from someone we aren't discussing, or maybe they opted to only take 4 at most, or maybe Williams mother told him to OV to one other place and if he was still set on Tennessee he could go there. Hard to tell.
