'16 PF NC Grant Williams (UT commit 11/13/15)

I get that, my point was, if these Ivy League teams make a habit out of cutting people apparently then how can we say either is full?

I would say those last few guys are fighting for 1 spot

Same way we would recruit a walk on or a try out kid

I get that, but you've said Ivy League kids don't get scholarships, so are they all walk ons?

Yes but some are recruited the same way we recruit scholarship guys and others are only promised "try outs" fighting for the last few spots

My guess anyway

@JordanBone23: VolNation,S/O to my dude @GrantWillPds !He making his decision Friday. We need him in that Orange...that UTK orange🍊🏀 "

@The_Jalen_: ⚠️All #UT fans go show Tennessee recruit @GrantWillPds that we want him at Tennessee #RockyTop 🏀🍊⚠️

Seems odd to be announcing on Friday after the start of the period.

Perhaps the staff has something to do with that and are trying to get parker beforehand

Makes some sense but I am guessing that isn't a very popular time with other recruits

Coaches want those papers in on Wednesday

Maybe the papers will be in? Harry Giles is announcing Thursday at the event, think coaches are mad that he's not announcing Wednesday?

He could sign and send papers in and announce later. I doubt the press is going to be fighting hard to break this story

I don't think the coaches would object to Williams announcing Friday, but recruits like Harry Giles get a lot more leeway than kids like Grant Williams. Giles can write his ticket anywhere he wants. Tennessee is far and away Williams best high level basketball option.

Signing period starts Nov. 11th

Yes 2 days before he announces which was the point

Now I understand football and hoops recruiting is vastly different but only the 5star type guys could get away with announcing after NSD in football. If williams decision hinges on any other recruit or vice versa then no shot the staff would allow him to wait until after the first day of the period IMO

Omg, not every little thing recruits do are reflections of staffs' schemes

It's simple if you don't want to read discussion about a kids recruitment then don't open the thread. If all that matters to you is the bottom line wait until the kid commits or doesn't

Last I checked these type threads are designed for discussion of the kids and their recruitment. If that isn't for you go find a thread discussing Dallas' honesty

I can believe BTO's take that he wants to announce at the phenom hoops event. Those phenom guys, and BTO, have been Williams biggest boosters. I can see him showing loyalty.

Yes after BTO pointed out it was at that event I agreed that is more likely than my slant

The real question is if fulkerson and parker jump on board before does the staff accept his paperwork?

IMO it's fulk or Williams. I have felt that way a long time now

Am I not discussing the topic? If a recruit sneezes at practice, you're there to say it's a bad sign and how Barnes slow played the kid. You make the wildest leaps and come to the most outlandish conclusions based on the slightest iota of irrelevant information. The routine is old and uninformative.

Funny the last time you "called me out" on such a topic was when I posted that I expected Bruner visit to be pushed back or canceled and the Fulkerson visit to be moved up. How foolish do you look for suggesting that was getting old and uninformative?

Not sure I argued with you on that subject. In our last bout, we were discussing the merits of Fulkerson's recruitment/potential commitment. Either way, it's your incessant connecting of dots via ridiculous reaches and assumptions that drives me crazy. That's not to say that you're not correct about certain aspects of your arguments, but when you fill page after page of your hypotheticals and schizophrenic logic THAT WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER BE PROVEN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, it's just useless clutter with little to no relevance. We understand your side of the argument within a post or two, but your one point always spreads out into pages and pages of crap. I see how you can come up with your ideas and present them, but I don't understand how you can't, at some point early on, just say "That's just my speculation, I could be wrong. There's no way of knowing right now."
