Can't stand this outlook. Some people are too stupid to realize that decommitments are just a result of modern-day recruiting. As competitive as recruiting has become you're seeing players offered and recruited hard earlier and earlier. You have 15 and 16 year olds in high-pressure situations being urged to commit. Why condemn them for changing their minds by the time they are 17 and 18?Will2winVFL on 247 had this to say in regards to Feaster
If you're on Volnation, let me be the first to tell you, you're a complete moron.
Or if Feaster wants to commit to us, do we tell CFA to look elsewhere? I can't see Butch doing something like that but it's recruiting so anything can happen.
I say we let the Clemson (insert overused generic mascot here) fanbase enjoy him as a commit for the next several months. We will take over with a signature in February and make good use of him for the 3-4 years following.
Small town or not most of SC is a podunk steaming pile of crap, aside from Charleston. I wouldn't want to be public enemy #1 because I was choosing what was best for me. I'd keep quiet on any decision until I could split town for good.
Here's how you he should do it.
Remain committed to Clempson (their fans hate it when you spell it like that.) There were talks he may be an EE so you take momma on official visits this fall. When she falls in love with you UT, you make a silent to Butch. In January, you publicly flip a few days before you have to be on campus. In doing that, he can minimize a lot of the homestate backlash no 17/18 year should have to hear.
