'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

Here's how you he should do it.

Remain committed to Clempson (their fans hate it when you spell it like that.) There were talks he may be an EE so you take momma on official visits this fall. When she falls in love with you UT, you make a silent to Butch. In January, you publicly flip a few days before you have to be on campus. In doing that, he can minimize a lot of the homestate backlash no 17/18 year should have to hear.

IF he makes in for an OV with momma, I think we have a better than 50/50 shot. If not I'm not going to get excited. Kids make visits for fun, parents though generally if they come on a visit it's serious. I know I wouldn't want my parents tagging along if a visit was just to see the "scenery".

Will not happen. Please go back and read my comments immediately following his visit. I said you will need to get him to decommit within 1-2 months to stand a chance of flipping him. I went into detail as to why, which you can go back and read in full. Long story short, their family's relationship with Dabo and Jeff Scott run VERY deep, and they will not leave Clemson holding the bag in December.

Today's conversation is probably going to be to shut down his recruitment. I'd say there is a 5 to maybe 10% chance of it going the other way and him decommitting, allowing Clemson to also look at other RBs. If he reconfirms his commitment the OV and mama coming to campus will never happen.

This is just the reality of the situation, don't take it as a flame, homerism, etc. I think Tenn did a hell of a job this past weekend, but even Butch can't give someone of Dabo and Jeff Scott's caliber a 3 year head start. Again, still an outside chance he opens it up, but your window isn't nearly as big as it is with most recruitments (waiting til Jan, NSD, etc).

I agree with you, I don't think we're getting Feaster but I do think we get a commit from Fils-Aime on Saturday.

I'm happy with it too! Don't get me wrong I would love to have Feaster. (Would love to have both, but probably won't happen). I'm very excited at what CAF can do in our offense! He was in my top 3 picks at running back, along with Feaster and Walker.

May as well mothball this thread. Carlin Fils-Aime is now our only rb of 2016. Just goes to show you can't always get what you want, but you always get what you need.

Also inaccurate. I assume you're basing this on the Confederate flag and nut job shooter.

Similar to saying just because Compton is dangerous, all of California must be ****ty.

Except that I'm not basing it on anything you mentioned, and more so the fact that I've traveled all over that state and it's exactly what I said it is. Charleston is nice, otherwise I haven't been to an area I desire to return to. Has absolutely nothing to do with recent events.

Also, Compton isn't that bad anymore. I went to a Halloween party with some friends there 4-5 years ago. No problems whatsoever.

Yeah we can lock this thread now if we wanted to haha. With the CFA commit, Feaster is definitely not coming now. It's okay, we can let Clemson get one decent commit. Can't let Butch hog all the stars :)

Those people are ignorant douche bags. But I've been to SC especially Chucktown. Other than the Vol alumni, and a few locals. Most of it sucked.

if someone offers a free trip to SC ill take it. a bad day at a crappy beach is better than a great day at work. i loved charleston when i was single, and didnt care to sleep on a crappy couch.

Got some stories about wandering around aimlessly on King St. But, thats for another time.

Personally i prefer FL beaches. 1/4 the crowd, and, far enough away from dumpy neighborhoods.

Charleston was great to visit. lots more to do; lots better looking women. but as i got older, i noticed that the surrounds were dilapidated, and much is dangerous to be honest.

Refuse to believe we are out of this. CFA is a good kid, but Feaster was too fired up coming off OCD for me to believe that the coaches really didn't mean he's be the only back in the class. We can keep CFA and still take Feaster and him be the only back. This isn't over. Pumped to have CFA though.

I'd say it would've been a tough pull anyways and now I think there is almost zero chance. I think Butch is capable of just about anything but there is just too much to overcome here especially if we're taking another RB.

It's very hard to believe we are only taking one RB this year, even with the small class
I think there is two top 100 players in state next year at RB that we are targeting. I think that is a big reason. Young also is going on scholarship in the fall so who knows what we have there.

Ol' Dabo could learn a few things from Butch about staying on top of your verbal pledges. Never stop recruiting.

Dabo, you've been warned. Next time we won't be so nice.
